How to leave a good impression as a VTuber (From a full-time VTuber and manager) 1 - Be Kind Your actions, online and offline, have an affect on others and their lives. You don't need to cater towards everyone, but if you are remembered by the wrong people for being unkind, it can really hurt you in the future. 2 - Help Out Help your friends and acquaintances, no matter how small or big they are. Whether there is something in it for you, or not. Be for them who you needed. 3 - Be Open Say yes, every now and then, even if you are nervous or have to make sacrifices. You can only grow as a person - and as a creator - if you experience new things. Likewise, say no, if you need to. 4 - Be Clear Be clear and transparent about who you are and what you do/do not want to be associated with. Someone calls you lazy, but you are doing your all? - No need to agree to statements that are untrue. 5 - Clarify in Private If you have a misunderstanding with someone, clear things up privately. Call-out posts may give you some attention, but it shows people you are up for a fight and may get you in trouble in the future. Most things can be settled in the privacy of DMs. 6 - Pay Attention Make time for your friends, make sure that your values align with the values of those you surround yourself with. People often judge by who is on your team, make sure you know those close to you and make time for them if they struggle with something. 7 - Only When It's About You Don't speak up about topics that are not related to you, don't speak over people, but give them a space to be heard. 8 - Don't Demand Don't make demands of people, especially when it comes to public opinions; Some people are not in a safe space to speak their mind, nobody owes you anything. 9 - Let Go If something is too hard, too taxing on your time or mental health: You can walk away. Cancel plans, step away from contracts, put your health first. At the end of the day VTubing is a hobby, maybe a job, but not your whole life. You are most important.
