@limitless74_ @kalos21million And bp coming down on peptides is not like some crazy thing. It’s a side, just like viagra causes your dick to get hard is a side effect. Viagra is a bp med. Reta makes people eat better and drink less, bp is going to come down as a side. What exactly is an "upstream" system?

I predict 5 years from now Reta will be first line for drug and alcohol addiction treatment in any patient that isn’t malnourished. It’s terrible that patients aren’t getting their first dose the day they come into the hospital.

@limitless74_ @kalos21million ridiculous mistunderstanding of basic science. Genetic BP is passed down through genes we have already identified. not going to live my entire life without BP meds in search for some holistic cure, only to drop dead from a stroke. Uncontrolled HBP is deadly stuff. See it everyday

@limitless74_ @kalos21million I have genetic high bp, fit, my diet is heart healthy. sleep good. I need bp meds so I don’t stroke at 60. Agreed in many cases. NSAIDS, steroids, SSRI’s etc, have secondary effects. It’s not medicine vs peptides. We can incorporate the best of all worlds to live our best lives.

Alright man, this is getting insane. Once a patient is on a GLP and they tolerate it well, they love it. We just have little data so far for anything beyond Ozempic. Tirzepatide and now Reta have significantly fewer GI side effects. Cost has been an issue until now. Again, you just don’t understand how desires begin to change overnight in these patients.

@kalos21million @Fidgetz93 You walk around with that and expect me to believe you’re a doctor? I don’t even use a stethoscope like that in med school? Where’s your littman lmfao, my wife has had one since first year.

@kalos21million Please ask them how tenable a single dose of reta is for an ER pt, alcoholic, non cirrhosis patient with ALD. I wish we could share credentials safely online. Alas, my wife is still a resident, albeit 3rd year, and my online fights would get her in trouble. I am md student.

lol you are aware of the side effects of Librium correct? And poor compliance? To say that should remain first line is so ignorant. What you don’t understand, since I can guarantee you haven’t tried it, is that Reta makes you dumbfounded as to why you ever craved a drink or tobacco or junk food in the first place. It changes your goals entirely. Let me walk down the hallway again and ask my coworkers their thoughts. I’m on ER call today after all.

@Fidgetz93 @kalos21million If you worked in a hospital or spent anytime around druggies, you’d get it. These people do not want to be saved. Peptides are for people who put their own health first.

@kalos21million Your solution is like offering GLP’s to fat people. have fat friends, I have offered them GLP’s for free. They won’t take them. Not because they don’t work, but because they do work. patients that come in for drugs and alcohol, dony want a cure. They want to go back out, drink.

Tell me when you get a trauma patient and get them admitted what do you offer an alcoholic? Throw them on MINDS and what? What about cigarettes? Nice little nicotine patch that they won’t ever touch again 90% of the time. Throw on top of that a >50% chance they are overweight or diabetic…how does your naltrexone help with that simultaneously? GLPS kill 10 birds with one stone. Can also be used in conjunction with the existing meds. They throw an entirely different mechanism into the mix so extremely ignorant of you to not consider them for this use case.

@kalos21million helps for bad histamine reactions. doesn’t replace real hospital. But safe to have around, in my case, I have physician at home to watch me. You may be able to save a trip to the hospital with proper monitoring and care post histamine reaction. Nothing beat Benadryl IV though.

@kalos21million All who are taking peptides should have both Benadryl pills on hand AND primatene mist(épi pen adjacent, does not replace it though). amazon.com/dp/B07N141L57?… wife is a doctor and recommended I keep em around before taking peptides. may save a trip to the hospital or save life

@pourteaux @realtimeai LMFAOOO my wife is a doctor and there are so many NP’s and PA’s running around essentially pretending to be doctors. The difference in care is huge and people don’t even realize it. I paid $200 to be seen by a PA once. Insane
