I know a family whose adult son has just completely disowned them without any explanation They thought he was a missing person and had contacted police to find him Police contacted him and he was perfectly safe and sound. He just didn’t want to have contact with his parents or family. Police explained that unfortunately there was nothing they could do as he hadn’t done anything against the law. It’s all pretty sad
