As Rhetor 6.0 continues, we’re thrilled to host Dr. Elizabeth Vinod from CMC Vellore. Her work in cartilage tissue engineering is opening new frontiers in regenerative medicine, and her work highlights how science at the bench can transform lives at the bedside!

Every microbe tells a story of health, disease, and even the environment. Prof. Sharmila Mande's talk at Rhetor 6.0 will dive deep into how high-throughput microbiome research can unlock discoveries for medicine, environment, etc.

How do cells organize their metabolic networks, allocate resources, and even exchange metabolites to thrive? On the last day of Rhetor 6.0, we have with us Dr. Sunil Laxman from BRIC-inStem to take us through the chemical logic of life.

On the 3rd day of Rhetor 6.0, we have with us Prof. Rita Mulherkar. Prof. Rita is a former professor at ACTREC, and is currently the Director of Samarthakrupa Lifesciences Pvt Ltd. She will be talking about the challenges faced in cell and gene therapy in India.

Join us for an advanced workshop on RNA Informatics, Structure Prediction, and Molecular Docking, led by Prof. Bhaskar Datta from IIT Gandhinagar. This hands-on workshop will cover tools for lncRNA identification, structure modeling, and drug design. Do not miss out!

On the second day of Rhetor 6.0, we have with us Dr. Rashmi Mishra from RGCB. Her pioneering work on mechanobiology and mechanotherapy is essential in understanding the disease pathogenesis of cancer, abnormal aging, etc. Join us for her talk at 11 am on August 24th!

Next in line, we have Prof. Nishant K T from IISER Thiruvananthapuram. Prof. Nishant's pioneering research sheds light on how LOH, often linked to cancer development, plays a critical role in genomic variation. Do join us for his talk!

Proteus conducted Shiksha 2.0, our very own educational outreach program. School students got to visit labs at SoB, IISER TVM and also attend an inspiring talk by Dr.Natesh Ramanathan. We thank Dr.Natesh Ramanathan, his lab members and the foundation lab staff for their support.

Excited to kick off the Frontiers Symposium in Biology. Our Director, Prof. J.N. Moorty, inaugurated the event, and Dr. Ravi Martuthachalam, HOD, warmly welcomed all participants. Day 1 was packed with fascinating talks on plant biology, cancer biology, and Drosophila biology.
