Life imprisonment is inherently a as costly as a lifetime of room and board. If the death penalty is cheaper it’s because the activists already won.

Not a day goes by that I am not reminded of a famous study where men and women were forced to play a card game against an opponent. Their opponent then either cheated and stole money from the subjects; or cooperated and played fairly. Afterwards, the men and women were strapped into an FMRI, and watched as their prior opponent received a painful electric shock. For men, the brain produced an empathic response when the honest opponent was shocked. But it produced no empathy, and in fact showed signs of a pleasure when the cheater was shocked. Their empathy was conditional on how the opponent behaved. But for women… The brain produced an empathic response for both types of opponents. It didn’t matter if they had been cheated by them prior, they wanted to alleviate everyone’s suffering regardless. This is their greatest asset, it is the feminine divine. It is the reason why a mother’s love is unconditional. It’s also the reason why you will be stabbed to death in a Walmart parking lot by a borderline retarded Haitian with 73 prior convictions.

Despite everything going on, including my own frequent suspensions, I do think the app is in the hands of patriots. What we’re seeing is probably the degree to which society at large is not set up for a free speech platform. No matter who runs it, you have to contend with foreign interests, speech laws, generate returns for investors, and kick off genuine bad actors. Its possible that they’re doing the best they can.

@DopeSayles This was a reasonable argument in the 80s, less so now. Half the time we have a video of the guy doing it, DNA, 200 police reports and 40 priors. It can cost up to 10 million to house an inmate for life. 10 lifetimes of tax payment to save a monster is cruelty to the innocent.
