Let me burst your bubble. According to ADC’s timeline, Obi cannot resign from the party. Kwankwaso cannot resign from the party. It’s already too late.

Kwankwaso deserves whatever Atiku and his supporters in ADC say about him. He is everything they are accusing him of. The history is there; in 2019, he betrayed Atiku Abubakar.

@alakikanju @DavidAbu_ @asemota The "advice" ignores the economic realities on ground.. The "good jobs" he's talking about are already reserved for the connected few because there aren't many of them. To be honest, the only way to build wealth in a trash economy like ours, is to sabotage it.

“Someone” is too vague. 20-30 years old: Find a very good job in a place where you can get leverage to buy assets. Get married, save together. The other option is to start a business early but know that 99% of the time, it will die but the experience will be valuable. 30-40: Start thinking of starting a business from what you have learned. Find partners, mentors, funders. 40+ Enter politics. Seriously, after 40 wealth is more about connections than effort. This is the time you cash in on relationships built over time. Wealth is about relationships and compounding the benefits of those relationships. No matter how brilliant you are, nothing will bring you wealth if you don’t build relationships. Friends have always opened the doors for me and recommended me to rooms where I made money from.

If someone wants to build wealth intentionally over the next 10 years, what frameworks should guide their decisions?

@viktorbensonyt The issues you are missing, are there jobs? We're in Abuja/Lagos because there are more opportunities. Benin is purely a civil service town.

Killing in Cameroon Triggers Xenophobic Attacks on Nigerians Near Border By Zagazola Makama A fatal stabbing incident in Fotokol, Cameroon, has sparked retaliatory attacks on Nigerian nationals, leaving one Nigerian dead and several others injured. Security sources said the incident began at about 3:30 p.m. on April 29 when a Cameroonian man was allegedly stabbed to death by a Nigerian suspect, who is currently at large. The sources disclosed that the killing triggered xenophobic reprisals targeting Nigerians in the area, resulting in the death of one Nigerian and injuries to seven others. According to the sources, troops of 3 Battalion (Mechanised) and 24 Task Force Brigade responded promptly to the situation to prevent further escalation along the border communities. They added that the injured victims have been evacuated to a general hospital in Ngala, Borno State, where they are currently receiving treatment. The sources noted that efforts are ongoing to restore calm, while authorities are working to track down the suspect and prevent further attacks on affected communities.

@thebilidre @1_otex @UchePOkoye First of all, Nigerian mushroom states lack the financial muscle to generate any meaningful amount of electricity,.. hell, Nigerian states can't even fund construction of bridges including Lagos, how on earth do you now expect them to generate electricity which is more costly.

@provide20823743 @1_otex @UchePOkoye No infrastructure is better than the other. FG has decentralized the power market; state can now generate and sell their electricity (this makes easier to be self sufficient). This is the best way to go while Siemens Power delivers on its target.

@icekied If Abuja was well planned , you'd have high rise residential apartments in clusters ,in different parts of the city...as against 1 storey buildings everywhere.

Those of you that want to move to Abuja and you have 400-500k as budget for a room self-contained,just know you will be outside Abuja coming into Abuja for work. To see that amount of house in Abuja, you will be staying in a hut oooo, when heat season comes, you will think you are inside the oven. The traffic you will face will give you early grey hair ooo. As your loyal Abuja guide,I said I should notify you.

There’s a guy in my area who I strongly suspect has been monitoring my movements for a while. I rarely leave my house during the week, except to quickly pick up a few items from a nearby mall. Sometime last month, he noticed my gate was open as I was driving out and immediately rushed over to me. He said, “Good evening boss, I’ve been meaning to talk to you. I’m a very hardworking guy. In fact, among all the guys around here, I’m the only one who is serious. Abeg give me any update for your side…” I was confused by what he meant. I told him he was probably mistaken about the kind of work I do, and that I was in a hurry, so we could talk some other time. On another day, he saw me again and quickly asked for my number. I gave it to him. Immediately after, he said, “I’ll message you on WhatsApp, you’ll see it, a foreign number.” A few minutes later, I received a message from a +1 number with a white woman’s display picture, which I ignored. At this point, I’m convinced he isn’t the only person in the neighborhood making assumptions. To them, a young guy who doesn’t dress up and commute every morning around 6am by bus, yet has solar panels and Starlink installed, must be into fraud. A very stupid mentality.
SB@seyedele

One of the dangerous things about our society now is that people who see you and to them you appear to be doing well, somehow resolve that you have to be into fraud. Random, unexpected message from the guy that painted my house. It’s extremely worrisome.

@Nairametrics I just hope that in 30 years time, when this set finally get to be generals and top military appointees, there won't be wailing and whining about how the South East has been marginalized in the Nigerian military. This same thing happened in the civil service years back

There is this man I know that did the same to his son. The boy stole #8000 to give to his girlfriend, who is also his classmate (JSS3). The papa ordered the security men to come and tell his son that "you can't maintain your girlfriend from another man's pocket." They beat the hell out of the boy's body.
