damned headaches have only been getting worse. ugh…

@ssham_uss ah, of course. just over here, there’s a spot i’d made a habit of going back to. it has a wonderful view and doesn’t impede on the creatures any. [they lead Shay a couple trees down, wordlessly taking their shawl off and setting it down spread out to sit on.]

@providencefrill [His head turned to glance at Servette over his shoulder, expression easing from acute fascination to quiet contentment seeing their own comfort.] If it’s nothing, I’d like to sit with you and enjoy the view. You seemed to enjoy the tea I brought last time.

[Tickseeds, bergamot, asters. All amongst the flowers adjourning a basket hanging from the crook of his arm, the arm with a hand haphazardly holding a briefcase before him. He opened the door.] Hello? Mx. Servette? @providencefrill

butterflies, nature’s tiny dancers

@ssham_uss hmm? if i’m guessing right, this is about our excursion. if so, i’m rather glad that you could see the liveliness of that space. it’s always quite a marvel. if you ever want to see it again in such a way, do simply let me know. it’d be my pleasure.

Typically I find whenever I enter the woods, all goes silent. The birds quit singing, cicadas cease their hum, the squirrels disappear into the trees. Life dies. How pleasant is it that that fails to occur in good company♪ You’d assume two people would be worse than one.

@SegmentEta however you’d like to interpret it, honey, though you’re right on the mark with those characteristics as well. both animals are a compliment from me to you.

@providencefrill Ah………..//// Wait, then a dog? Like those hunting hounds for their resilience, maybe? Or ah! The shiba because they’re so loved and intelligent?

It makes perfect sense that people see me as a crow, but I wonder… If not a crow, then what other animal would people choose for me? Curse these late night thoughts…

@ssham_uss [Cecile follows him, their glee giving a gentle glow about them.] it gladdens me to see that nearly nothing has changed about this place. how beautiful it still is. shall we find a place to rest, or would you prefer to stand as we watch?

@providencefrill these flowers… This meadow is its own ecosystem. A pocket realm of its own just beyond the city limits. [He stepped further in, careful not to block the flight paths of any butterfly. Briefcase held leisurely behind him.]

@ssham_uss [the laugh that Cecile produces at that is airy and nothing short of pleased.] we are very close indeed. and… here we are. ta-da. [the woods open up to a field, bursting with flowers and butterfly activity. just as they’d described.] isn’t it wonderful?

@providencefrill [Shay looked over, if only to return the soft smile he already bore. His gaze was soon distracted by a flutter of colour in his peripheries.] Ah, it seems we must be just about arriving. The woods get livelier by the moment.

@ssham_uss right? quite lucky, if i say so myself. it should be in much the same state, so, plenty to observe. [they glance over at Shay for a moment, smiling, evidently happy for the opportunity to share this spot with another. they soon correct themself and look ahead, however.]

@providencefrill … Hm…♪ [He thought to himself for a pause.] A long-time refuge. Well then, I am humbled to have been invited to share it. Such vitality, even found all the way this north…

@ssham_uss visited it lately, though. [Cecile’s voice is measured, purposeful, yet soft. their stride is just the same, and a content smile is present on their face. they’re mindful of the basket as they walk.] this is a nice way to go back to it, i believe.

@ssham_uss ah. well, i found it a… couple years ago, actually. i’d been looking for somewhere quiet to go and think. the city only quiets so much, you see. i’d walked until i found a field. in full bloom and populated with butterflies. it’s since become something of a refuge. i haven’t +

@ssham_uss [Cecile steps out of the shop, waiting for Shay before they begin walking to the city’s exit.] thank you for accompanying me. i realize this is rather short notice for butterfly watching, aha.

@providencefrill Delightful. After you, then. [With a melodic hint to his tone, he opened the door again and stepped off to the side.]

@ssham_uss mm, perhaps. you’re right. it’s seen as early as the infant stage, after all, haha.

@providencefrill Why not make beauty with what you have? Perhaps that’s a need of its own, a uniquely human one at that.

sometimes i like to see what shapes i can make with Hydro. how the water reflects on the light depending on how it’s arranged. perhaps today has been a little too free…

@ssham_uss that would be lovely. if you ever do, would you grant me the privilege of listening? it’s bound to be enchanting.
