Pirro’s office will prosecute adults under the city’s curfew law for enabling, facilitating, or permitting minors to commit delinquent acts. Penalties include up to six months in jail, fines, and court-ordered classes. “If the evidence shows the parents knew or should have known… we’re going to charge them.”

As a former public defender, I’ve always believed people are more than the worst thing they’ve ever done. I believe in redemption. The man we knew showed up with respect, care, and commitment to protecting others. We’re still learning the full story, but today we mourn a life lost.
