@SureBetFusion He was a great coach in a different era where (admittedly) UCLA had NIL before it was cool and no one else did (or it was limited). He had the best players of the era. I’d say smith, K, Knight, Williams, Pitino, self, cal, were all the best in their era at times.

@symeew13 The most obvious would be Stairway to Heaven. There are a lot of other great songs in the Genesis catalogue but Steve Hackett’s Blood on the Rooftops is awesome.

Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever spoken to? Not “seen from far away” — actually talked to, even for a minute. A quick hello, a handshake, a normal conversation… and you still remember it. Who was it?

@GenTXer2 Fantastic album from the needle drop. It would definitely be in my top 70 of the 70’s.

This album DID NOT make my Top 70 albums of the 70s list but does it make yours? 🤔 Steve Miller Band: Fly Like An Eagle (1978)

@igormirandasite It was the gateway album for me so I am biased to it but now that I own all of their albums it ranks in the middle of the pack for me. Follow is a great pop tune…

Há 48 anos, o Genesis lançava “...And Then There Were Three...”, seu 9º disco de estúdio. Foi o primeiro da banda como um trio, após a saída do guitarrista Steve Hackett. Os singles foram “Follow You Follow Me” e “Many Too Many”. Qual a sua opinião sobre esse disco?

@LesPurves Best debut album ever. It was produced in Tom Scholz cobbled together studio. Amazing track to track but I still think I would have led with Foreplay/Longtime instead of More Than A Feeling

I went back and listened to Boston’s debut again. Yes it has extremely polished production and there are definitely a few amazing songs but I feel like those highs have kind of carried the album’s reputation. As a whole, I don’t hear a 10/10. What’s your thoughts?
Les Purves@LesPurves

#Nowplaying #Boston – Boston (1976) A near-perfect rock debut packed with soaring harmonies, layered guitars & pristine production. “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” & “Foreplay/Long Time” defined arena rock. Slick yet powerful, it’s an effortless blend of melody, muscle & studio wizardry. #Np #vinylcommunity #Rock
