The cross party Health and Social Care Committee reported after studying Assisted Dying in Canada, Australia etc. that they found no evidence of coercion, nor of the so-called slippery slope, no adverse effects to palliative care. And no country has repealed their law.

Yes, @questingvole is my nephew! But I wouldn’t recommend him if he was a lousy writer. Happily he is brilliant, funny and erudite and @PhilipPullman says his book on children’s literature is a marvel. The Haunted Wood is also nostalgic, intriguing and hugely entertaining.
