@politicsbetclub All depends if they can rid themselves of Starmer. Starmer is different to most Labour MP's as he has no loyalty to the party or to the country only to himself. He will bring down the whole party rather than resign. This makes him harder to get rid of than we all thought.

@politicsbetclub The only candidate that can unite the party is Andy Burnham because he does not have HMRC or Net Zero hanging round his neck like a noose. The left won't accept Streeting as they see him as a traitor. Any other candidate would be a puppet.

Why would Rayner step aside for Burnham? And where does Ed Miliband fit into all this? There’s a lot of talk about the soft-left trying to coalesce around a single candidate, learning from past mistakes—but you can already see the potential of friction down the line.
