I grew up in a middle-class household. For most of my childhood, we were renters. My mother saved for well over a decade to buy a home. I was a teenager when the day finally came—and I can still remember how excited she was. In college, I worked at McDonald’s to earn spending money. Some of the people I worked with were raising families on that paycheck. They worked second or even third jobs to pay rent and buy food. That only gets harder when the cost of living goes up. When I am elected President, I will make it a top priority to bring down costs and increase economic security for all Americans.

Sad day at CBC Vancouver. Former Early Edition host Rick Cluff passed away. He's being remembered as someone who was supportive of his colleagues and a person who made people feel comfortable whether you were a producer or an intern.

My mother passed away on Sept 16. She lived a full life of 90 years. My parents have left behind places for me to visit in Pakistan where they were born, studied & made friends. All are in Punjab: Toba Tek Singh, Malakwal & Lahore - they mentioned these with fondness!

Congratulations @RandipJanda! Well deserved! Have called many hockey games alongside Randip and have seen him do it firsthand. He was amazing then and will be so in this role, all while continuing to break barriers.

Late #Queen #Elizabeth’s link with Vancouver pre-dated her ascending to British Throne in 1952. She visited #Vancouver as Princess in 1951 and planted an oak tree in Queen Elizabeth #Park. Here is a picture of that iconic tree and that of the citation beside it!
