Spirit week is in full swing - today was Twin Day! PSC fun

Our PSAL John Jay Jaguars played with so much heart at the city finals today at Yankee stadium. So proud of the season you had!

What a wonderfully celebratory teacher appreciation week we had at PSC ! Thank you to our amazing PTA for providing bagel breakfast and a special shout out to Ms. Asia for creating a week long student generated " you've got mail" appreciation board.

As part of the NYC H2O Environmental Stewardship Program our PSC 7th graders toured our community to conduct an Amenities and Hazards field study survey. Using ArcGIS Field maps to access, collect data, annotate all in 1 smartphone provided by the program. Super engagament

So excited that our PSC MBK students took part of the inaugural 3 on 3 tournament today at @barclayscenter in partnership with @inspiringmindsnyc and @_CadetHoops

So proud of our 11th grade residency with Atlantic Theatre Company culminating performance- "A Place for Us" melding Romeo and Juliette w/ Westside story - to tell a tale with their words focusing on essential questions such as " How do you define loyalty?" @AtlanticTheater

6th and 7th graders explore our amazing city by visiting the NY Tenement Museum and The Bronx Zoo. We are so grateful to our amazing teachers for providing opportunities for our students to build memories and learn and experience new things as spring is springing !

A culminating women's history periodic table of praise and acknowledgement. Thank you Ms. Meade and the 7th grade students for this artistic and impressive way to express gratitude for the phenomenal women within the PSC community at home and in the world!

7th graders learned to apply pressure, pack wounds and learned the protocols to support an injury. Local subway hero and Doctors from New York Presbyterian Hospital engaged our scholars in a Stop the Bleed workshop as they practiced using tourniquets and gauze to save lives.

Today we collaborated at The John Jay Educational Complex for our 2nd annual job and internship fair for all of our amazing students. Thank you City Council Member Shahana Hanif for organizing this fair with us - hoping for many more years in partnership. @ShahanaFromBK

7th Graders did a deep dive into the book banning movement sweeping the nation. Today, we celebrated by hosting a Banned Book Fair, to spread the word, represent the beautiful diversity of our classrooms and empower students to use their voices to protect our freedom to read.

PSC Student Government volunteered at CHIPS Food Bank yesterday and fed hundreds of people. Working together to support others is the PSC way! @BKNHSSuptRoss @ElleRushie

Our 10th graders all performed their original poetry as an ensemble today in our auditorium. Their writing was lyrical, their language was vividly descriptive, and their unity as they supported each other on stage was breathtakingly powerful. Kudos 10th graders! @AtlanticTheater

In Ms Bennett's Chemistry class students determine changes of phase in order to explain how temperature has an affect on matter-dry ice added to warm water the warmth of the water had an affect on the ice which caused water to change to a gaseous state. Memorizing!
