I took my time last night to study the Algorithm released by Elon's X, and one big motivation that prompted me was understanding how the new algorithm works so that I and my followers can get the maximum benefit from it. Here is what I found out: DOs: For Maximum Reach 1. Reply bait is real. Posts that make people respond, argue, or agree loudly get pushed hardest. Write opinions, not announcements. 2. Reply to every comment on your post. An active thread signals sustained engagement and keeps your post alive in the scoring window. 3. Post when your audience is online. The algorithm trims old posts from memory. Early engagement in the first 60 minutes determines if non-followers ever see your post. 4. Reposts and quote tweets beat likes. A like is a light signal. A repost drops your content into someone else's feed and starts a chain reaction. 5. Stop scrolling and engage on big posts. Leaving a strong reply on a viral post exposes your account to audiences already interested in that topic. 6. Write posts people read to the end. Dwell time is tracked. A weak opening line kills your score before anyone gets to the substance. DON'Ts: What Kills Your Reach 1. Do not post back to back. The algorithm deliberately suppresses repeated authors in the same feed session. Space your posts out. 2. Do not post and go silent. An abandoned thread with no follow-up responses is a dead signal. 3. Do not rely on hashtags. They are not part of the scoring formula at all. 4. Do not post content that makes people hit Not Interested, Mute or Block. Those carry negative weights that actively push your posts down. 5. Do not obsess over likes. The algorithm weighs replies and reposts far more heavily. The formula is simple: make people stop and view your post, respond, and share. Everything else follows.
