@Drarra Which isn’t exactly the healthiest for whale populations. Majority of the people I’ve seen go there aren’t even passionate about the place or have any interest in the animals they are just wealthy and want to throw some money away.

@Drarra We shouldn’t be interacting with wild animals anyways, doesn’t matter what species or where on the planet. Antarctica is already full of commercial fishing boats and I feel like those ontop of these cruise ships is adding a lot of boat traffic

Unpopular opinion but it’s a little concerning seeing the amount of Antarctica cruises being promoted. It reminds me when diving with orcas in Norway was getting really popular early last year.

Yes I encountered Hector’s dolphins in Akaroa today! From what I personally saw I estimate at least 25 individuals were in the area between the harbour and South Pacific Ocean.
