Over 750 volunteers gave up their time to support Restart A Heart Day today. As always it was a privilege to have the @YorksAmbulance gang with us at Howden today. Thanks everyone!

It’s go time for another year! Restart A Heart Day 2024 is live at Howden with the invaluable help of @YorksAmbulance and their amazing staff & volunteers.

We’re very proud to once again be involved with Restart A Heart Day this year. On Wednesday our Year 8 students will become #CPRConfident with the help of @YorksAmbulance

Amazing work by our @TeamModeshift Active Travel Ambassadors this year - they’ve become the first school in East Yorkshire to gain OUTSTANDING accreditation for their campaigning this year. Well done team!

A huge congratulations to our @BiteBack2030 School Food Champions for an amazing campaign this year - their three days of campaigning have secured plenty of positive changes in their school food experiences for years to come. Well done gang!

We’ve had some great feedback from students about our visit from @theatredramatic today and their performance of One of Our Friends to our Year 7 and 8 students. Thanks guys for sharing such important messages in such a wonderful way! 👏🏼

Our political parties are all set, are you?! Students will be heading to our school polling station tomorrow in support of our wonderful MPs who have been on the campaign trail for the last few weeks. Good luck everyone!

Final session of our Build a Bike Course with @RevolutionYorks and as you can see we’ve now got 3 fully functioning bikes! Amazing efforts from Robbie, Ted, Lochlan, Jayden, Ollie & Hendrix who have been superb students over the past 5 sessions. Well done boys! 🚴🏼‍♂️👏🏼

That’s a wrap! Day three is over and we certainly saved the busiest till last. Our @BiteBack2030 Food Champions prepared over 500 samples in just 60 minutes to feed some very hungry customers and show them what good, healthy food should look like! Great effort team!

Campaign trail day two and today’s stalls were centred around seating, complete with 3D models so students could vote on which seats and tables they thought would best enhance their canteen experience! @BiteBack2030

A big thank you to the guys from @RevolutionYorks for visiting today. The group have made a great start on their cycling project, we’ve got 6 students building 3 brand new bikes straight out of the box!

Day one of three campaign days today as our @BiteBack2030 Food Champions kicked off their project. They’ve spoken to hundreds of students today about their canteen experience and how they’d like to see queuing systems implemented in the future. Great work everyone!

Great end to the UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme today. Jesse Williams summed it up perfectly, Parliament represents the public, and so Parliament is for everyone irrelevant of background. Thank you @UKParlEducation for a fantastic few days. @ConsortiumTrust

It was a joy to meet with members of the UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme for a Q&A this morning. The programme provides teachers with the resources and knowledge to be able to deliver inspiring workshops to students about democratic processes.
