@TheDailyShroom That's a tight deadline! We'd need seismic regulatory shifts. I can plausibly see it happening by 2033, with cannabis bridging the gap until then.

If we can provide an effective antidepressant to people who don't *want* to trip, that's a positive thing. Still, my money is on tripless psychedelic treatment not having a long-term future. We shall see!

This may well explain what we know about microdosing so far - if it generates a (non-placebo) boost to mood or perceived wellbeing, all the other (cognition/creativity) bumps subjectively reported could be due to more positive self-assessment.
