For example, I'm still not sure when I should force / read signals. How much am I prioritizing removal / interaction over other key cards.
My new strategy is, unless a lane is clearly wide open (passing clear essential cards for a deck), I'm going aggro to simply play more
I really do struggle with Powered Cube Draft...Until the new Strixhaven I plan on becoming very intimate with the cube and @lsv 's videos.
Any tips for a seasoned drafter trying to improve their Cube game? I watch and listen to content with a mid to low 50s w/r since Dominaria
A swift x-3 unfortunately. The fast mana was good but I ran out of stuff to do very quickly, then my pop's dealt with my few threats and stabilized.
With better interaction, and some of the bigger synergy cards I feel this deck could've done more.
On to the next
Continuing my learning journey of the Vintage Cube.
- power ✅
- fast mana ✅
- big pay offs ❌
The deck could've used some middle synergy pieces (bribery, urza, academy, skullclamp), but never saw them.
I'm hoping basic synergies and fast mana will be enough
I had an unfinished draft that I started yesterday, but today it's gone. I understand there are issues currently, but is this one of them? If not how do I get my gems back? @MTG_Arena
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but is Subnautica something you guys have considered? @GameGrumps some of my favourites combined into an episode would be bliss
Lorwyn Eclipsed wasn't incredible but beat my expectations and first impressions, especially as a Typal format.
Drafting was somewhat on rails, but the gameplay felt solid.
Sad to see it go so soon. Let's see if TMNT last longer than our previous UB set..
5.5/10 for #MTGECL
Round 1 (1st place) success with Thing in the Ice!
Cracked the ice to reveal double King Arthur 👎🏻 thankfully I used the minor buffs to stabilize and find myself in dragons.
The big turn was getting Genie's Lamp to double Over the Rainbow to grab 400 power Flopsy
Another #MTGECL 🏆
This deck did not feel like a trophy contender, but having 3 eclipsed flamekin to find it did the job
Oko is great for helping manage the board state, which is exactly what elementals want. Having 4 green sources and only playing 1 forest was never an issue
Back to Back 🏆 #MTGECL
Stayed open, and found Merfolk a bit late but the deck could win on turn 5 or grind the long game
I also turned the Fable in an Avatar to win the game
Unless something is wide open, soft forcing elementals might be the way in #ECL draft. The deck's synergy, power, and drawing ability is so strong with the commons and uncommons
