Ran the #horsetoothhalf marathon yesterday in Ft Collins. Great race - beautiful course, perfect weather, well organized.
I added the GPX of my run to my GPX Explorer tool. It's now the default activity. Take a look!

@Mappletons I do a lot of maffetone training, it’s what I find works for ultras. Garmin watches let you set alerts which does well for keeping within a certain range. I built a bunch of viz for how to track performance over time on this if you wanna check it out. @pstuffa/running-visualizations" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">observablehq.com/collection/@ps…

I‘ve been doing low heart rate / zone 2 / mafftone training for 6mo and found running much more enjoyable!
But all the standard apps only focus on distance and pace. Really want one that focuses on keeping your heart rate in zone 2. Primarily with audio cues that tell you when you’ve gone over/under.
Started plays with mocks. This is the kind of app I just want to build for myself. Might try to GPT-4 prompt my way to some prototype - I know nothing about swift / building iOS apps!
But I love that language models have made me believe building this kind of tiny idea is now possible / within my skill set. GPT-induced-ambition.
