If you're email does not make it to the Focused tab in Outlook, I'm sorry, it's going to take days for me to see it.

@fasterthanlime 20+40=60, 7+8=15, and enough years immersed in French culture to know that soixante-quinze is 75

I just knew at some point it would look so good I’d have to partake and share. ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟨🟨🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

@MonniauxD @SKLafon1 Le subreddit r/AskHistorians est populaire et a une bonne réputation (que je suis incapable de juger).

More surprising to me, we used to make laptops that included a printer? 🤔

They recommend a budget of FRF 20K, which would have been USD ~3.5K in 1994, or close to USD 7K adjusted for inflation.

I was throwing out some old magazines when I stumbled upon this feature on remote work from 1994. “French companies are considering it […] The advantages are obvious.”

@awsTO Asking as someone who hasn’t stayed up to date in years, what are some recent exciting synthesis results? Was there ever another FlashFill?

@paulgb I like how the author(s) basically outs themselves as Bucharest alumni.

Me: remote work has the potential to flatten the planet and reduce location-based inequality. Employers: there is exactly one good university in all of continental Europe.

@G_FRGNR J'aurais dit banquette ou compartiment s'il y a des "murs". Le look d'origine vient des trains sauf erreur. Faudrait trouver un québécois pour être sûr, ils doivent en avoir chez eux 🙂

Second attempt with transliteration turned on, which seems to work reasonably well on Cyrillic and Greek. I wouldn't trust the results in North Africa, though.

(non-Latin alphabets are improperly treated as "all consonant", so you have to mentally blank out the rightmost part...)

Place names in Europe ending with a vowel (left) and consonant (right), aka the vanishing of 🇮🇹. Data from the wonderful @openstreetmap.

We played some remote Scotland Yard today. Which other board games have this property that you need the setup at just one location? No hidden cards, etc., for most players. All perfect information games qualify, but are there any other interesting ones?
