she told me she needed more of my time i said i have scrims at 8 she said "you always have scrims" i said "i know" she asked me to choose i sat with it for a second genuinely considered it then remembered i hadn't watched my VOD from last night yet she cried i felt bad then i opened the VOD anyway i wasn't choosing Overwatch over her i was choosing the person i'm trying to become over the person i was comfortable being she wanted me present i was present just not there every missed date was an 8-12 every ignored text was a comp game every "why do you care so much" was proof she didn't understand what this was she needed someone with more time i needed someone who understood i didn't have any we were both right no breakfast until i VOD no sleep until i study Think the Blobz way.

dude computers are actually so fucking insane when you really think about it. we literally figured out how to write some fake-ass rules called code and somehow convinced rocks to follow them. like actual rocks. sand, melted, purified, carved into tiny pathways where electricity just flows in patterns. that’s it. that’s the whole magic. and yet from that we get operating systems, compilers, kernels, networks, distributed systems, machine learning models, entire virtual worlds running inside other virtual worlds. billions of tiny electrical decisions per second, all because we defined some abstract logic. humans basically invented a language of instructions and taught matter itself to execute it.

i genuinely have no desire to be rich so i can buy a rolex or a Lamborghini. i want to be rich so i can control my time and go to the gym at 3pm on a monday. sit at a cafe and relax for an hour on a rainy afternoon. so i can cook meals at home with fresh ingredients. spend on my family and friends without worrying about a budget. that's my idea of a rich life, not the fake consumerist idea shoved down my throat.
