In talking with @WaddleandSilvy and @TWaddle87 this afternoon on their show I said I would have not played Pete Armstrong. He needs a day to clear his head. Now his four base error allows three runs to score. He looks out of sorts.

#MyBig101960sAlbums My "Big 10" 1960s Albums #1 of 10: Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II (1969) My #1 album is the "Brown Bomber" or officially known as "Led Zeppelin II". Released on October 22, 1969 at the very end of the 1960s, "Led Zeppelin II" confirmed for me, that the 1970s would prove to be an even better decade for rock music, than the 1960's. Led Zeppelin was in fine form in 1969, and recorded their follow-up quickly during the group's first American tours. The band could only enter the studio for brief amounts of time, so most of the songs that compose "II" are reworked blues and rock & roll standards that they were already performing on-stage. The sound of "Led Zeppelin II" was more direct than their debut. Jimmy Page provided layers of guitar overdubs, but the overall sound of the record is heavy and hard, brutal and direct. "Whole Lotta Love," "The Lemon Song," and "Bring It on Home" are all based on classic blues songs, only, the riffs are simpler and louder and each song has an extended section for instrumental solos. Of the remaining six songs, two sport light acoustic touches ("Thank You," "Ramble On"). Some fans say that "Led Zeppelin II" doesn't have the eclecticism of the group's debut, but I feel it's arguably more influential. After all, nearly every one of the hundreds of Zeppelin imitators used this record, as a blueprint.

@GenTXer2 Zeppelin I and II filled up arenas with blues/folk/rock. Page was sued for copyright infringement on ‘Dazed and Confused’ by Jake Holmes. Two Willie Dixon songs, one on each album. Dixon later sued band over ‘You Shook Me.’ 1969 was a great year for albums that became classics.

@Howard_Cole A little while back my 3 sisters put me on their text messages which is fine so I can send a text or picture just once. But they sometimes forget and ramble on about stuff i have no interest in. I need a mute button.

I have rediscovered the mute button and am employing it judiciously. Because apparently a one-game losing streak to too much to bear for some folk.
