A police officer voice noted me yesterday crying. Saying they’re at breaking point. They can’t cope. They can understand why so many officers end their lives. That they are so understaffed. So at risk of harm, and so forgotten by senior leadership team. ‘I just wanted to be a police officer,’ she said, sobbing. ‘And they’ve broken me.’

'I was put onto helping identify the 52 victims... Over the years I started to slip down a very dark hole.' Former British Transport Police Officer Gary Hayes recalls the events of the 7/7 bombings in 2005 and the PTSD he has suffered since that day.

Our thoughts are also with the many injured, both physically and mentally including the thousands of Emergency Service Workers, including our CEO Gary Hayes. Gary Hayes has spoken on numerous occasions about how that day changed his life forever.

Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the July 7th bombings in London. We remember all 52 victims who's lives were cruelly taken that day. Our thoughts are with their families who's lives were changed forever.

🚨🗣PSNI officer speaks out: 'Behind the uniform is a young female living a normal life... I was punched and knocked out.' 🎤Inspector Róisín Brown shares her story with Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 about being assaulted while on duty. Following the attack, she was taken to hospital and later signed off work for a period of time. She details the mental toll it took on her as well as the impact it had on her family. On average, nine officers are assaulted every day. The @PoliceFedforNI is calling on legislators and the courts to take "tough and decisive action" to address this unacceptable level of violence. The call comes as part of a new public campaign titled ‘Let Them Protect’.

The three mountains are Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), and Snowdon (Wales). The challenge typically involves completing the climbs within 24 hours, including the driving time between the mountains. Anthony's challenge takes place on 23rd and 24th July.

Anthony Hope (former Emergency services worker) is taking on the three peaks challenge to raise funds for PTSD999. The Three Peaks Challenge is a popular mountaineering event in the UK involving climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales.

The Metropolitan Police Federation are devastated to report the on duty death of our colleague PC Michael Bruce. PC Bruce died suddenly last Saturday (June 14). He is remembered as a "hugely popular man, always smiling, and the life and soul of his unit." facebook.com/share/p/16V537…
