@TSoS_ It’s a remake of Episode 4. It will always only be a remake of Episode 4. He remade Wrath of Kahn. He then remade Star Wars. I’m sure George Lucas thought it was absolutely ridiculous.

In conclusion: The Force Awakens is a stunning looking movie with great characters, fun dynamics and strong performances that manages to replicate classic Star Wars magic. Unfortunately, it only ever *replicates*, never *evolves*. Its uninspired world-building and the countless mystery boxes it haphazardly opens don't work in the context of the saga. The complete lack of politics, the absence of the New Republic in its central narrative and the overwhelming might of the First Order, a truly boring faction, are key mistakes that weakened this trilogy from the start. Mythologically, I am mostly on board with it. Character-wise, Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren fit well into this saga and I find our heroes very likeable and Kylo Ren a fascinating villain. The interactions they have with Han and Leia are great. The movie has a really nice flow, it is generally quite fun and beautifully cinematic. The script needed several rewrites to truly work, but I wholeheartedly believe this was the movie J. J. Abrams wanted to make, a chance to bathe in the glory of the golden age of Star Wars. It feels creatively stunted and like a complete sabotage for anything the next two films might want to do, but it is not a terrible movie per se. 6/10.

@OptimalRodimal The concept of the singularities were dreamed up/written by Hasbro’s copy editor. The intent was for that to be part of aligned. Once it fell apart, we actually undid the concept in 2015. Nexus Prime, Shattered Glass, other concepts have bled over to mainstream.

Singularitys were, to say the least, an ambitious concept for a franchise like TF. Like many of the Clubs other multiversal concepts, they’re really just inconsequential trivia to all media outside the Clubs fiction. Mainline media had never, (and WILL never) reflect these ideas

Vector Prime as a multiversal singularity is the coolest shit they’ve ever done with the character. Him once being the guardian of time and space, watching over the infinite time streams of the multiverse, only stepping in when he must, for the will of Primus is SO sick.

@Bingus_Artworks @LoreleiReeves6 @swinblurr @Enddramon I also said Hasbro. You know, the company that owns all rights to the Transformers. You need to work on that reading comprehension. Then perhaps you’ll enjoy the storybook “The Return of Blurr”. The current final chapter of Transformers Animated.

@Bingus_Artworks @LoreleiReeves6 @swinblurr @Enddramon Anything published is Canon unless explicitly disavowed by Hasbro. With all due respect to Marty, he doesn’t own Animated. Hasbro does. So even if he said that, which I don’t think he did. It wouldn’t matter. But you are free to feel however you wanna feel about it.

@Bingus_Artworks @LoreleiReeves6 @swinblurr @Enddramon Yeah, that’s not his canon works lol. All of our stuff was released under license by Hasbro. Same as IDW, Cartoon Network, and so on. In fact, the team at Animated were all directly involved in our Animated projects. Anyway, totally canon. Check out any Wiki site to confirm.

@LoreleiReeves6 @Bingus_Artworks @swinblurr @Enddramon The comic/story book is in fact canon. Was written by Marty and published by Fun Pub, licensee of Hasbro. I’d have to check my notes for the entire timeline of events, but it is in fact the last official Animated story to date.

I hate them. Tribute acts are non creative garbage. And you are correct about the compensation.
Randall Kelley@randallkelley

Hey @deesnider. I’ve always wondered what artists thought of tribute bands. I heard/read the tribute bands don’t necessarily pay a license for playing each time, but rather the venues have blanket license coverage. Is this right and what are your thoughts about them? Thanks! 🤘🏻

False. This is such a lazy take. For 9 years people have rightfully criticized a movie that sought to undermine core elements of what came before. It undermined it by not having a plan. Disney underestimated the fans who thought that they would just want anything with the name Star Wars branded in front of it There is no oversight especially following the death of Carrie Fisher, which left the ending of the movie entirely in a place of no return. What were they going to do when the Final Act of their sequel Trilogy That was supposed to feature princess leia, could not have Princess Leia No one thought to kill her character in the moment where it felt most necessary in order to solidify kylo as the Pure Evil of the Next Generation Instead, there were a few moments that telegraphed Luke Skywalker being injured when he was using Force projection in the climax of The movie. But instead of giving into that story beat that was already on display, Luke simply died from being tired I don't care how well the movie was directed, how beautiful the visual effects were, or even the fact that John Williams score was absolutely Dynamite, there is no way to look at the story, not the fucking themes, but the actual nuts and bolts of the story, and tell me that it was anything less than an absolute travesty There was no foresight, no fucking follow through, and no goddamn plan. And you could tell that was the case because they could not keep Colin trevorrow script and keep him on board as a director 3 months before the film came out, so they ran to JJ in hopes of getting him to find a way to bring it home There's a reason why the rise of Skywalker LeapFrogs over the last jedi, and it's not because of angry fanboys who couldn't let things go, it's because the middle story of a trilogy fail to uphold the elements that one would expect from it The amount of gas lighting people due to themselves over this movie is not only hilarious, but it shows you that media literacy has not only been dead for quite some time, that it's never coming back

I’ve come to accept The Last Jedi really did break something in Star Wars fandom based not on anything that happened in the movie but because its aggressive detractors and ebullient fans both simply refuse to reasonably accept the existence of the other.

Just a reminder anyone who believes that the sequel trilogy will be removed from canon is dumber than rocks. This dumbass rumor started by a right wing grifter has been going around for a decade and it's never gonna happen you wanna know why? Because the sequels made BILLIONS!
Emir Han@RealEmirHan

Star Wars Sequel Trilogy could be removed from Timeline to Resume focus on Original Characters a new rumor says "If true, this would be one of the most dramatic franchise shifts in modern Hollywood history."

@MattWalshBlog I don’t support state sponsored executions. If the family wants to carry out the sentence, so be it. But a system where a clearly guilty individual spends decades on death row doesn’t offer closure nor does it make us safer.

I am challenging any death penalty opponent — there are millions of them, allegedly — to step up to the plate right now and explain why this guy should not be executed. His guilt is established beyond any doubt whatsoever. His crime is utterly savage and heinous. Tell us why he doesn’t deserve to die. Go ahead.
