Sometimes it’s useful to recognize that just because we may not like a certain storyline doesn’t inherently make it bad writing. Not every SL is for everyone and that’s fine! I think sometimes there’s a distinct difference between “I don’t like that” and “That’s bad.”

and when we get a scene of buck and theo paralleling this at connor and kameron’s graves what then

if 2+2 is four, and 5+5 is 10… wtf is this

i need everyone to understand that the sperm donor aspect of this sl was just the narratively-satisfying way to introduce theo. that's it. it's NOT what would give buck any parental legitimacy should he take theo in/choose to adopt, not what makes them "connected," not what would give him "a right" to theo. it's just How He Exists. narratively. as a character. "buck was theo's sperm donor" is just The Mechanism the writers used to introduce buck to theo as more than just A Random Kid on a Call. it doesn't make buck "the rightful parent" (which the show AND its characters, including buck!!, made abundantly clear), and if anything it just makes the "accidental baby acquisition" (which is BELOVED on ao3, hello???) more realistic, because the legal hoops buck would have to jump through if this were a random child are FAR fewer in this specific, made-for-a-network-procedural-drama case. that's it!

coming back to this to say critiquing the show IS PERFECTLY FINE I’ve done it myself A LOT but crashing out and sending death threats & harassing the actors is not going to get the result you want that isn’t going to change anything

911 writers took the opportunity to show ice being the bastards they are, regardless of how you feel about the theo storyline you have to be sick in the head to review bomb this episode. genuinely, fuck anyone doing this

@hhfg0123 @acklesdiaz Blood literally is what makes you family 😭 go back to school if you don’t understand DNA
