@thegoldenmuzzy I mean I have no clue about this dude but in fairness I think his point is they are already better than Toronto + still have guys coming. Leafs #1 goal regardless of retool or rebuild should be to get younger

Highlight of the Pelley presser - for me - was him stating he’s not here to scout, then randomly naming off a Habs and Sabres prospect 😂 Butchered’s Hage’s name, too. No need to riz up the competition.

@QU_MIH @NathanGraviteh Both these teams have made ppl actively cheer against McKenna and wyttenbach now. The video was stupid and so is this tweet. Feel bad for these kids that some communications major is speaking on their behalf

@pucktalk11 @NHL_Muse You are pretty alone on this argument bro, maybe time for a reality check. Habs also have the most sold jersey around the NHL, they are often compare to be the Yankees of hockey.

@Memorabilia514 @NHL_Muse It clearly did not mean the stadium or the teams. If it did he would have said that. He didn’t even say NHL, he said Hockey. Montreal is actually pretty fucking ass at hockey away from their nhl team these days Also Mecca literally started cuz the Muslim dude was BORN in Mecca

@pucktalk11 @NHL_Muse So what does players coming from Ontario have to do with Toronto? The question is clearly referring to the teams. Their arenas and experience and Montreal is that. No NHL player dreams of playing in Toronto. Almost every player says they can’t wait to experience the bell center.

@NHL_Muse Before anyone else replies… The question is not “who has the better franchise?”

@NHL_Muse Montreal has the better stadium, that’s it. The hall of fame is in Toronto. Toronto has the most fans. The majority of players in the league are from either Toronto or close by. It’s not close and if you say Montreal you just hate Toronto, which helps prove the point even more.

@pucktalk11 @NHL_Muse You forgot most cups and hall of fame players. Also Habs fans are way better than Leafs which is why your arena stinks. Also players coming from Ontario has no connection to the Leafs and either does the hall of fame.

@pucktalk11 @NHL_Muse "The majority of the players are from Toronto" which is false stop claiming players from other cities cuz last time I checked Hamilton London etc aren’t in Toronto . Ur home ground talent go play somewhere else cuz they know how horrible is it to play in a library

@pucktalk11 @NHL_Muse The NHL was founded in Montreal. And nowadays there is more blue jays fan than Leafs fans in Toronto, and there is likely more Habs fan than leafs fan through North America.

@ScapegoatXhekaj @NHL_Muse I don’t disagree with a thing you said. The habs are a better franchise than the leafs. None of that means anything in this argument.

@NathanGraviteh @DaddyBuckets44 I think frondell will most likely be better and has much more upside but this is one of the best play style comparisons I’ve seen. Kudos to you for not just picking one of like 10 guys everyone uses as a comparison lmao

@DaddyBuckets44 He gets a lot of Barkov comps but I don't see it. Total body of defensive work is way different. To me, the way he plays reminds me Pavel Dorofeyev, if he was stronger.

@Matstop @angryfrank65 @johnpuck1992 I’m gonna bow out. There’s no winning an argument against box score watchers. Not understanding the difference in scoring across eras tells me everything I need to know.

I think we might have to start having the conversation that Nikita Kucherov is around a top 10 player in NHL history (7th in all time points per game)

@DontDropThePuck @johnpuck1992 There was a 5+ year stretch where Kane was the 2nd best player in hockey (only behind Crosby) 3 cups in that period If that was today, he would have been piling on 130+ point seasons but it wasn’t, it was at a time where 1 or 2 guys would touch 100 which hurts his career ppg

@Matstop @angryfrank65 @johnpuck1992 Also I bet if you polled every gm and coach in the nhl on if they’d rather prime Malkin or prime kuch. It’s 90%+ taking Malkin

@Matstop @angryfrank65 @johnpuck1992 He had a huge part (maybe the biggest part) in that but they were already an ascending young team with stamkos (pre injuries), hedman, vasy, and had made playoffs the year before his first full season. Every other guy here stepped into a last place team at 18 or 19.

@angryfrank65 @johnpuck1992 His career ppg is inflated as he stepped onto a Stanley cup contending team instantly and has not played his mid-late 30’s yet. Not to mention his supporting cast has always been elite. He is much worse defensively than everyone else on that list but ovi.

@pucktalk11 @johnpuck1992 Respectfully feel like you definitely just don’t realize how good kucherov is. He leads the NHL in points per game since 2023 with 1.70 per game and is not bad defensively either. The statistics show it in all areas

@johnpuck1992 Blasphemy on Kane here but… Kuch’s ppg will drop as he gets older and his defense is already mediocre at best. Debatable top 10 of last 20 years. IN ALL HISTORY????? Comfortably outside the top 30. Comfortably.
