Been studying $BLOX mechanics deeply and wanted to share some observations. The fund harvests roughly 50% annually from its options positions but only distributes 36%. That 14% buffer is what's keeping NAV roughly flat while BTC is down 40% from ATH. The options overlay is absorbing the drawdown in real time. Most holders don't realize this is happening under the hood. What's interesting is that same buffer works differently depending on the regime. In a bear it's the shock absorber protecting NAV. In a bull it becomes genuine NAV accretion on top of the underlying appreciation. Same mechanism, completely different outcome depending on where we are in the cycle. The fund is also adapting in real time. BHDG provides tail hedge protection. NGHT reduces daytime BTC volatility exposure. Credit spreads profit when the underlying declines, partially offsetting losses on the bull put book. These aren't random positions. They're building blocks of a more resilient fund. Given that the fund's primary investment objective is capital appreciation with income as a secondary consideration, I fully expect yield compression over time. That's a feature not a bug. A sustainable 25% yield with contained drawdowns is worth far more than an unsustainable 40% yield that bleeds NAV every bear cycle. If you're DRIPing through this bear you're buying shares at $15 that the cycle math has significantly higher. The boring weeks are the most productive ones.

🎯 Called it. Hit $82 and $81, now back around $77. I’ve been saying this for weeks. Every bounce gets sold. Wouldn’t be surprised to see low $70s next. In this environment, swing trading $HOOW has actually been working really well. I’ve also been pretty clear for months that playing defense isn’t a bad thing. Holding more cash, taking a loss if needed, then buying back lower and swing trading to recover those losses. That’s how you take advantage of a downtrend instead of letting it drag you. If you’re panicking or feeling sick watching price action, it really comes down to one question. Would you rather be annoyed you sold and it ripped, or frustrated you held while it kept bleeding? Is easy choice for me.

Considering how ugly $BTC dropped over the weekend, tagging as low as $72k, holding around $78k this morning really isn’t that bad... yet. I expected $HOOD to move in lockstep and take a hard hit too, so no real surprises there. Honestly, I’d rather see the heavy selling get flushed out on a Monday and give the rest of the week a chance to bounce. Roughly $10T was wiped from precious metals, crypto market cap took a hit, and equities sold off. There really isn’t a clear safe haven right now. Until money starts rotating back in, we'll continue to chop.

@puma1977 @wannabefresh Is it long-term good for HOOW? I know HOOD has nothing to worry about, but is it the same for HOOW? Ever since Yieldmax, it haunts me that maybe it will never get back to the top. I know this is different than yieldmax, but I still get worried.

Dividend Income Update 👇🏻 $HOOW Dividend: $0.442085 × 4,400 shares = $1,945.17 $MSTW Dividend: $0.102756 × 1,500 shares = $154.134 Total Dividends on 2/3/26: $2,099.30 Even through the drawdown, dividend holders still get paid weekly, which helps soften the hit and gradually lower the cost basis across the rest of the portfolio.

Ya it's been a rough drawdown but if you believe in HOOD long term, there's not much to worry about. Once I'm done with tax season and complete this business deal in a few months, I'll be buying back more HOOW to get to 10k as well as other HY funds. Just have to weather the storm a little longer.

Right now, no. I need to keep some capital aside for a business venture I’m working on and to cover taxes. Otherwise I’d already be back in 100%. Once taxes are settled and the framework for this venture is locked in, I’ll have a clearer picture of how much surplus or shortfall I’m dealing with. Per my CPA, I may actually have to trim more HOOW anyway since I technically made “too much” last year and my taxes might be higher than anticipated even with write offs😭

@DividendMil True but while last year is down 80%, the underlying asset is 57% down. If you add the 80 usd dividends received last year its is performing way better than MSTR

I think about this a lot. The people who took out second mortgages. The guy who took a million dollar loan to buy $MSTY. I also think about the hate I got when I said it wasn’t sustainable and that people were going to get hurt. I will never root against anyone. Ever. 🙏 But if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Yield without risk doesn’t exist. And leverage plus hype is how people get wiped out. 📉 This is why I always preach balance, patience, and sustainability over chasing the next shiny thing. Protect your future first

“I owe $197,000 on a mortgage at 3.25%. I also have $25K in a HYSA and $175K in stocks. Should I sell stocks to pay it off?” I wouldn't. You'd pay capital gains tax and the 3.25% rate is extremely low. Unless you can't sleep at night because of the mortgage, keep it forever.
