@petermaurice22 @henrywinter @mrcuthers 😂 the 70’s analogy would have given you a clue to my newness to football, not to mention having played at a pretty decent level 😂 move on mate, not worth the interaction
English

@punkrabbit @henrywinter @mrcuthers Diving has always been part of the game , trying to gain an advantage. Especially in penalty box. When did you start watching football. Teams will always find a way to gain an advantage. You seem very new to football. Technology is not every decision. . Every major decision.
English

Tactical time-outs an increasing problem in football. A few PL clubs do it. Even England have done it. Caoimhin Kelleher may have genuinely been injured - he was able to play on - but Leeds United’s frustration at the disruption was understandable. They were building, had brought on subs and then the game paused.
Daniel Farke already raised concerns earlier this season. Gianluigi Donnarumma went down and Manchester City players went to touchline for instructions. Farke asked the fourth official if he was going to do something.
Officials’ hands are tied at the moment. Teams getting round rule for outfield players to go off for 30 seconds after treatment. Now goalkeepers used for tactical timeouts. IFAB has discussed a nominated outfield player going off for 30 seconds if a keeper has treatment. But concern that a keeper could genuinely have been injured. Possible solution is for players to be stopped from going to the touchline during stoppages or ordered to stay in the centre circle.
Be interesting to see whether World Cup refs clamp down. It’s seeking an advantage by breaking up opposition’s flow, by giving the manager an opportunity for instructions and also it’s time-wasting - and there’s enough of that spoiling games.

@petermaurice22 @henrywinter @mrcuthers As far as being ‘new to this’ (😂) what we see now is completely different to the ‘dark arts’ of, say the 70s. The actual minutes of football played are now less than ever, technology means every decision is scrutinised, refs have no control and diving is now part of the game.
English

@punkrabbit @henrywinter @mrcuthers I am not sure people will drift away . Assume you mean tv viewers not fans . Sky Sports revenue is massive. Only need to see subscriptions. Nobody knows the future but cheating or dark arts always been in football. You seem new to this .
English

@petermaurice22 @henrywinter @mrcuthers I give up. My tweet was a little ironic so let me spell it out . Nothing will get done about football because no one is losing money. Only when it hits the pockets of TV co’s etc will anyone act. but i do think TV fans are turning off due to saturation, boredom and cheating.
English

We peaked during the AFCON period, when every team was struggling to field a squad. Let’s hope we picked up enough points, because we won’t be getting many more. #LUFC
English

@petermaurice22 @henrywinter @mrcuthers Where did i say they were? Read tweet. TV channels have the biggest power these days, if they start losing precious viewing numbers then they will start pressuring the PL.The only way anyone will act to stop the cheating.
English

@punkrabbit @henrywinter @mrcuthers People arent drifting away though. Every ground is full with waiting lists for STs. Refs add time on for time wasting. Just this keeper feigning injury thing needs sorting .
English

@petermaurice22 @henrywinter @mrcuthers I am a ST holder so couldn’t care less about viewing figures. My point was that the moneybags behind football only act when their precious cash cow is endangered. Football right now is crap imho, if nothing gets done then people will drift away.
English

@punkrabbit @henrywinter @mrcuthers Or just do what was always done in the past . Fuck viewing figures. This is people paying good money to watch a game of football. Not basketball with time outs.
English

@henrywinter @mrcuthers It’s simple. Make all players stand either in the keepers 18 yard area, or as you suggested, the centre circle immediately after the keeper goes down. something has to be done before viewing figures inevitably decline. It’s becoming unpalatable.
English

@mrcuthers That’s one idea, Tim. IFAB should look at all possible solutions
English

@bassett442 @apopey Wolves got a point away to Brentford last week, and came from 2 down. This was not a good point for us.
English

@apopey When you put it that way, a point against 7th in the league is not bad going. However, 4 games without a goal and 2 wins in 14 league games is slightly concerning. On top of that, we never win away.
English

@GrahamSmyth Bijol was up against Thiago and hardly gave him a sniff. Won virtually every header, deserved a higher mark

@twill_94 Simple solution. If a keeper goes down, all players from both teams must locate themselves immediately in the gk’s 18 yard area until the ref says it’s ok to leave. Problem solved.

@stickapininit @TampaBayTre @ConnorJRogers Hi mate, hope you are well. Looks pretty balanced, getting Sarratt in 3rd would be amazing.
English

@punkrabbit Well because upper management came into to tell people yesterday afternoon the job was closing down and Monday is the last day.
English

@dwarfland @TheCinesthetic Really? One of my favourite comedies ever!!!
English

@TheCinesthetic One of the unfunniest movies I’ve ever seen. Cringe from start to finish, every single joke falls flat. Very. Single. One.
English

@DireStraits77 Love Over Gold is so under-appreciated, as is It Never Rains.

I was quiet on here this morning because on my way to Chiswick from East London, I got into an altercation with a third world person. He was drunk, stoned and looking for trouble. I explained to him that I was going to sit there in my seat in peace and he wasn’t going to bully me or push me around. There was some contact, but nothing bad. It was quite obvious though to everyone else in the carriage, that this wasn’t going to end well. Interestingly, as I sat there waiting for the next salvo, the train pulled into a station and a tfl Swat team of five blokes got on, grabbed him and pulled him out. Someone had obviously reported him. I have to say, I was very impressed by them. Dealt with swiftly and professionally. Good work.

English

@srchilaquilles Is this the same Fernando Mendoza that some people say isn’t good enough to be the first pick? 😂 😂 😂
English

LMAOOOO who has time to think of this shit man 🤣😭😂

If I’m the #Titans I do this instantly.

@UnitedRideOrDie @dondatta13 What crap. This would have come up when they did their due diligence before buying. It seems a classic case of ignoring then acting all innocent.
English

@dondatta13 Mate you might want to educate yourself a little bit before you start throwing your toys out of the pram! It was Chelsea who spotted the discrepancies when the new owners took over. THEY reported it! Points deduction was not going to happen. Different scenarios completely!
English

#NUFC were FORCED to sell Elliot Anderson for £35m. A year and a half later he is expected to fetch around £100m. Weve taken a £65m hit SO WE DON'T break the rules. Meanwhile actual rule breakers Chelsea win multiple PLs and cup, become a top 6 side with all the perks, £10m fine.
