Zachary Freeman, 39, was arrested after crashing a vehicle into a home on Route 9D. Charged with Aggravated DWI, DWI, and Reckless Endangerment. Two occupants were inside; no injuries were reported.

Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Conditions Unit arrested Jon D. Vena, 42, of Bethel, NY following a traffic stop in Putnam Valley. Deputies recovered fentanyl, alprazolam, metal knuckles, and a sawed-off shotgun. Vena was arraigned and remanded to PCCF.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Town of Southeast Stolen vehicle recovered in Brewster after an LPR alert on Danbury rd. 4 juvenile males from Brooklyn fled on foot and were apprehended with assistance from Brewster PD and NYSP. Driver Charged with Grand Larceny & CPSP.

On Feb. 5–6, PCSO deputies joined a regional Organized Retail Theft Enforcement Detail coordinated by the Westchester–Putnam RTC. Six arrests were made in Southeast, with two additional suspects identified. We remain committed to protecting our businesses and community. #sheriff

Police have cleared Carmel High School. There is no credible threat to the school or the public at this time. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will continue to conduct an investigation into the reported threat.
