Newbridge 2nd graders shared their historical & everyday heroes at the Newbridge Hall of Heroes. This opinion writing celebration included letters that the 2nd graders wrote to the “Hero Committee” with reasons for why their hero should be inducted. @NbrPrincipal @NBUFSDPride

The second grade classes from Newbridge had the most amazing trip today to the Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center. We learned about Sea Urchins, Horseshoe Crabs, sea grass, Box Turtles, baleen, Hognose snakes and the meaning of biomimicry! @NbrPrincipal @NBUFSDPride

These 2nd graders just finished learning about how volcanoes can change the Earth. We created our own Newbridge Volcano to see for ourselves! We were so excited to see it erupt! @NBUFSDPride @NbrPrincipal

Second graders are learning when to regroup when they are subtracting. Using base ten blocks to engage in the experience gives mathematicians concrete understanding of regrouping. This sets them up for success now and forever!

This team of co-authors and illustrators worked on a writing project together. It is a book about superheroes and super villains. Each author contributes a page to the story.
