If you think the EFL's Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP) was harsh for clubs in League One and League Two. Then the Premier League's decision to allow an 85% squad cost ratio (SCR) is putting the big clubs on the edge of a points deduction. Especially when UEFA wants the squad cost ratio (SCR) at 70%. The 2026-2027 Premier League season is going to be interesting to watch with the mandatory sporting sanctions in play. With the way football finances are heading in the EFL. It was always inevitable that the Dons Trust was going to go beyond the 75% margin that it holds of AFC Wimbledon. While some supporters would prefer a total wholesale of AFC Wimbledon to an investor. The majority prefer a go-between with the Dons Trust keeping 50.01% of the club. I'm also told that Starmer will sack a chief advisor and Chief of staff Morgan McSweeney in the coming hours. Mcsweeney will be sacrificed by Starmer in an attempt to survive. There's no guarantee it will work.

A much needed win for AFC Wimbledon away at Port Vale. A game that was heading for a draw. Before Callum Maycock stepped up with a last minute goal for the Dons. A very scrappy game at Vale Park with neither side getting a foothold on the game. But at least we went home with all three points. COME ON YOU DONS! #AFCW #COYD #EFL

Saturday night in Central London whilst making my way home from London St Pancras International. Another day over spent supporting AFC Wimbledon. Still, it was a nice trip to Rotherham with me changing at Sheffield along the way. One thing I will say about that line run by East Midlands Trains is the poor mobile signal I got during the whole journey. And while there was the offer of WiFi broadband on the train. I seldom trust the security of open WiFi broadband for everyone to connect to. #AFCW #COYD #EFL

My only bone of contention at the Asseal New York Stadium. Was the over zealous stewarding with me taking photos of the game. I was reminded by one of the stewards that filming the game was not allowed. Never mind the fact that I was taking photos and not footage. So I was only able to take a handful of shots before being told to stop. Talk about taking your authority to the extreme. No wonder Rotherham United only get around 7,000 home supporters at a home game. With that sort of attitude they are spoiling the whole match day experience for supporters. And before anyone asks. No, I was not stopping anyone from enjoying the game. #AFCW #COYD #EFL

A forgetful first half leading into a more entertaining second half at the Asseal New York Stadium. It took the prospect of Rotherham United winning the game by one goal to nil. For Johnnie Jackson to make four subs, and turn the game on its head with an equaliser from Marcus Browne. Up to then we looked a team heading for another loss. While a 1-1 draw might be counter productive in us slipping down one place to 18th in the League One table. At least we didn't lose the game. That for me alone is a huge bonus. I love the way the Asseal New York Stadium has the scoreboard in the away end behind the visiting supporters. As if we don't want to see the clock and who is winning and losing. I am currently on my way to Rotherham United for today's Sky Bet League One game against AFC Wimbledon. After last week's last minute loss at home against Doncaster Rovers. I am hoping that we don't make it two defeats in a row against teams from Yorkshire. It really is a must win game for the Dons.
