Last month my 170,000 mile MG5 travelled 3,752 miles using 938kWh of energy. I public charged 4 times, the rest was home charging. Combined the total cost for the month was £128.67. In a diesel Ford Focus estate, which is an equivalent size vehicle to the MG5, it would have cost approximately £544.93, when averaging 45mpg. This equates to a saving of £416.26 in favour of our electric MG. Annually that saving increases to almost £5,000 We have 12 MG5’s doing the same thing. That saving is now up to £60,000 a year. These figures are approximate, but you can see why we run electric vehicles and not diesels.
