I personally headcanon Dazai to have Conduct Disorder which progressed into ASPD, his living conditions were like a silver platter for that to form the way it did, anyway. The chronic emptiness, alienation, and many of his behaviors, if explored, can be seen to fit it.

Dazai often relies on others for money, even if he has enough himself. But speaking on it, he rarely uses his own money for anything but alcohol or stuff of that sort. Money is a vulgar necessity, which he needs for comfort and distance from the world he himself despises.
