So that El-Sayed dude jerked everyone off for months about his financials and now it turns out the "working class" candidate is an international landlord with properties in India and Dubai. Do I have that right?

Most of us don't own homes in Dubai and India like Abdul El-Sayed
Bernie Sanders@BernieSanders

WHY ARE THE BILLIONAIRES SO PANICKED BY ABDUL EL-SAYED? The Democratic Senate primary in Michigan is much more than a campaign between Congresswoman Haley Stevens and Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. It is part of the ongoing struggle between Oligarchy and grassroots progressive politics. It is about whether we can create a government that represents ALL Americans, or one that continues to be controlled by wealthy campaign contributors. As of today, billionaire-funded outside groups, led by AIPAC, have spent a record-breaking $50 million to support Haley Stevens — a roughly 60-to-1 advantage over Abdul El-Sayed. Let me repeat. A 60-to-1 advantage. Despite that, recent polling indicates that the race is extremely close — with some polls showing Abdul in the lead. Why are the billionaires so panicked by Abdul El-Sayed and his campaign? Why are they desperate to see him defeated? The answer is not complicated. A win by Abdul, following recent progressive victories across the country, will make it clearer than ever that the American people are sick and tired of the same-old, same-old Establishment politics and policies. They want change, real change. They want a Democratic Party which stands for the working class, not the billionaire class. They want the policies that Abdul is campaigning on, which include: — Health care for All as a human right. — Strong support for unions, raising the minimum wage to a living wage and building millions of units of affordable housing. — Increased taxes on the billionaire class. — An end to “endless wars” and not another nickel for the extremist Netanyahu government in Israel. — Real campaign finance reform which gets big money and super PACs out of politics.

@pyramuscrypto @MissesDread He grew up in one of the wealthiest enclaves in US. Don't push this off on his wife. He attended exclusive schools fr grade school to Columbia & despite completing his course to attain his MD in epidemiology, he chose not to do internship or boards. He obviously didn't have to

TIL that Hasan Piker’s interviews are researched behind the scenes by Eric Hovagim, a socialist producer who now lives in China and has been featured by Chinese state media for his pro-Beijing commentary. Shoutout to the Periphery Podcast and Noa Fears for this lovely little piece of information.

I graduated summa cum laude with my associate degree and multiple scholarships at 18 and began studying preprofessional biology with plans to become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. With this timeline, I’d complete medical school by 24, finish residency by at least 27, and begin my career in my early 30s. Over 10 years of my life would be spent dedicated to simply preparing for this career. Instead, I left it all behind, got married at 20, and became a mom at 22. I could not possibly feel more successful or fulfilled than I do in these roles.

@RobertRM1890 @Jaboolie @MissesDread Look man, Abdul's and my politics are pretty similar and if it were up to me and my family owned land in a country like that I would have sold it. Maybe he would have as well, if it were solely up the him. His own personal beliefs can be right through. Stop moving the goal post.

@pyramuscrypto @Jaboolie @MissesDread He owns property in a middle eastern slave state that is funding a genocide against black people in Sudan, and is like an arm of the American Israeli alliance. It’s not even comparable to a guy who rents out a condo in Des Moines. Even than you would think someone like…

@datingbyblaine it's fair and reasonable to be totally off-put by this as a man, and it makes sense to be straightforward and honest with your rejection... as long as you don't want the date why get mad but still try to see her

Single girlfriend in NYC’s text exchange with a Hinge match. She’s upset. In my opinion… - She’s entitled to whatever expectations of men she wants, but asking a stranger from the internet to send a car is cringey, and she has no business being upset if he won’t - The guy’s response is simultaneously fair, abrasive, and weird. Just say “How about I come to you?” if you still want the date, or “I don’t think this is a fit…” if you don’t Hard not to stay stuck single if you interact like this 😬

@RobertRM1890 @Jaboolie @MissesDread It really depends on which leftist you ask. A person renting a house can be seen as passable by some leftist who focus more on people owning large swaths of private property that they extract money from through none of their own labor.

Look, I don't believe UAE should exist in its current form and there are people there who most certainly have, used, and benefit from slave labor. But also, there are people who don't. We don't know about El Sayed's family, and more so this seems to be a house owned by his wife's side of the family not him exclusively or primarily. If bought land and built a house using forced immigrant labor there, or keeps forced laborers himself, then we have an entirely different convo and he would have no place in the US government.

The architect of New York City's decline smiles with his whole face and jumps into pools wearing a full suit. Evil makes itself attractive by pretending to be the antithesis of itself. It says it will lower your rents while raising them. It says it will bring access to food by undercutting and bankrupting struggling grocery stores. It says it will bring economic justice while running out the job providers.

Watching the Michigan Dem Senate debate. Does El-Sayed genuinely not know what is in the purview of a Senator? It’s not enforcing antitrust laws.

@GalacticRebirth @JemyEdd45492 @hasanthehun They are fighting back against who? Against the people who didn't do 9/11 (Palestinians, Iran, Lebanese, and now Syrians) while trying to normalize relations with the country (Saudi Arabia) that very certainly had something to do with 9/11? Sure man, sure.

7 yrs ago i said WE brought 9/11 upon ourselves. 7 yrs ago i apologized for my language. since then ive helped get a 9/11 1st responder elected into office which you guys also called a terrorist cus he’s muslim. i don’t think zionists care about 9/11 beyond fomenting islamaphobia
Eyal Yakoby@EYakoby

9/11 families aren’t against Zohran because he’s Muslim, they’re against him because he campaigned with someone who said that their family members deserved to be killed on 9/11.
