The April Fools’ website has now been replaced with a normal one. This project is still in a premature stage. However, it is technically real, and it is also true that there is a downloadable binary with very limited functionality and a web demo.

Today, we proudly introduce a new Python interpreter, Pyre. Pyre is a Rust-based JIT Python implementation that faithfully inherits the spirit of PyPy. You can install the binary or try it out on the web. pyre-lang.org
