@melissacorey I have been given a second school this year due to budget cuts. I walked into my high school (the new one) and it’s got a ton of stuff that will need moving and rearranging. And my middle school is covered in Chromebooks.

@MsYingling I too have lots of issues with "I never checked that out"

@pysteboe I do. Middle School students are very good at losing books and saying "I never checked that out." It's good to have their signature. I also let them know I can't protect their privacy. It's just not possible on many levels anyway.

If ANYONE questions why I still use circulation cards, I will certainly point to today's outage as a compelling reason to keep them. These will be pried from my cold, dead hands.

@kelseybogan This will date me a lot, but I read The Thorn Birds, Eye of the Needle, and The Amityville Horror all in 8th grade. I learned a lot about adult topics from then. And, of course, Children of the Attic!

@rachaelreads_ @TxASL I put them where they won't interfere with the writing the back. It's most important to me that students be able to read the blurbs. It's a mild inconvenience to have it in different locations.
