Congrats to the team for winning a 2020 American Public Works Association Project of the Year Award for the Fleish Flume Overflow and Tailrace Replacement Project! This project included replacing key components of the Fleish Flume, overflow and turbine tailpiece structures.

Happy Retirement to Barbara Krause and Bob Picolo! Barb is leaving the Q&D family after 28 1/2 years of service as Q&D's receptionist and Bob is retiring after 16 years of service as one of our truck drivers. We thank them both for their dedication and mentorship over the years!

Teachers and staff for Michael Inskeep Elementary School visited the construction site for a tour of the school! The 2 story, 82,500-square-foot facility is set to open to students this August.

AQD crews worked hard over another marathon weekend to demolish the Second Street Bridge for the Spaghetti Bowl Xpress (SBX) project! Crews are now preparing to move traffic and are in the process of building a temporary ramp to demo the Truckee River Bridge early next month.

Crews are installing one of our favorite amenities at our Scheels project in Colorado Springs, CO! We can't wait to enjoy a ride when the store opens later this Spring.

Another successful marathon weekend is in the books! AQD crews demolished the Mill Street Bridge this past weekend. This is the second bridge of the Spaghetti Bowl Xpress (SBX) project to be demolished. Looking good out there, team!

Congrats to Sonoma County Airport on their first successful inbound flight using their temporary baggage claim last week! Q&D is excited to be on STS's team for their Terminal Expansion and Modernization project, currently underway and scheduled to be completed in Fall 2022.

Q&D employees set out to raise funds to help the homeless stay warm this winter. Donations totaled $820 which allowed us to purchase 30 men's and women's jackets! Q&D’er Clay delivered the jackets alongside Jen at Pacific Plug & Liner. Total they handed out 67 jackets!

Such a sweet surprise! Southwest Gas hand delivered freshly baked pies to residents in the Elko Summit Estates to thank them for signing up for their natural gas service. Q&D was glad to be on the team to install high-pressure gas main. ow.ly/LGtU50D6xAQ

Q&D specialty crews demolished the SBX East-to-North Bridge over a marathon weekend! Two crews worked 12-hour shifts to remove the old bridge in less than 30 hours. The next of five bridges to be demolished will be the Mill Street bridge over a marathon weekend later this month.

Q&D was honored to receive a PRSA Silver Star Award alongside The Abbi Agency for the #LocalFoodLove Campaign! Q&D management ordered meals for our crews from a locally-owned restaurant each week and urged other essential businesses to do the same during the COVID-19 shutdown.

We love to help our community! On behalf of our employee giving program, this week we presented Meals on Wheels and Austin's House each with a $1,000 donation. Q&D also presented Canine Rehabilitation Center & Cat Sanctuary with a $1,000 donation earlier this year.

Congratulations to Sonoma County Airport for breaking ground on the Terminal Improvement and Modernization Project! The project encompasses 33,000 square feet of new construction and 7,000 square feet of renovation. Construction is scheduled to be completed by fall of 2022.

Congrats to Sonoma County Airport on the opening of their remodeled Gate 2 and temporary security checkpoint which Q&D recently completed! This project moved the checkpoint out of the way of the next project, which Q&D will build, the Terminal Modernization project!

The Parr/Dandini bridge is now open to drive across! To construct the new wider bridge, crews used 2,000 cubic yards of concrete and 150 tons of reinforcing steel. Intermittent lane and ramp closures will take place through mid-November as crews complete finishing construction.

The City of Yerington and USDA Rural Development hosted a ground breaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of a $41M water and wastewater project for the town of Yerington! The project will replace aged water and sewer pipes to over 3,000 residences.
