Many of you know that @jmhenner (Jon Henner) has been giving the finger to cancer for the last 6 years. I'm heartbroken to tell you that Jon left this mortal coil Monday, August 14th at 7:16am.

@LealaHolcomb Hall et al 2018 JSLHR @ASLresearch used a few executive function tasks w/ deaf kids but most of the group differences were from the parent report. Cates et al. 2022 found working memory to be a predictor for NNS reading comprehension.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s the language deprivation or the linguistic trauma of neglect and social deprivation. We know trauma also reshapes the brain. Have to think about this.
