@jaffathecake @simonhearne Implemented this in a CF worker already dynamically resizing our images. Limited max DPR to 2 and reduce quality by 20 only (conservative) + dynamically adjust reduction to DPRs in-between (which can happen in our case): works like a charm, thx

A #webperf anti-pattern I see far too often is late loading hero images. If your Largest Contentful Paint is higher than expected, check that your hero images can be discovered early (i.e. are src's in your HTML!) to avoid issues like this.

We will use this money to develop and release on-the-fly ES module bundling and further optimize our performance. Building this on our “80+ billion hits per month” scale was always the main challenge, but now, with Mozilla’s help, we can finally make it a reality.

Anybody else experiencing strange WPT results regarding LCP compared to Lighthouse? Lighthouse was run from within WPT (3G fast, Motorola G gen 4) and WPT "Filmstrip View", in addition, ends at 4.0s where what should be the LCP is visible (as expected) #webperf #perfmatters

Container hosting on the edge! Sounds interesting? I am starting a new company called @appfleetcloud that does exactly that. Just package your services in a container and by using a super simple UI deploy it globally to multiple regions at the same time.

Ich kann bei der @commerzbank online nur Kontoauszüge der letzten 12 Monate downloaden. Also in die Filiale und Kontoauszüge für 2018 als Kopie bestellt. Als Datei geht gar nicht. Kostet pro Auszug 15 Euro. #fail Ich bin mir recht sicher, das es 2018 auch schon Datenbanken gab.
