Meet Q̓átuw̓as Brown! She joins our Qqs team as the new Haíɫzaqvḷa Wellness Manager. You’ll find her launching soulful and culturally-grounded programming that incorporates language and wellness for our people. Q̓átuw̓as, we’re so excited to support your important work! 🌿

Four years ago Vennita joined our team as an Administrative Assistant. She’s now our Office Manager, our seasonal Camp Manager, and the big heart behind Bella Bella RAIN! Ǧiáxsix̌a for being in our corner Vennita!

Ǧiáxsix̌a from the bottom of our hearts to these two beautiful women! Kim and Tess, thank you for spending two whole camps with the kids teaching them cedar weaving and working on regalia for our cultural program in Koeye. ❤️🌿

Happy Retirement Mux! ❤️ Muxsum was one of our bear dogs in Koeye and today he’s retiring from his job to take care of a family on Vancouver Island. We’ll miss you, good boy! Please share your favourite pictures of him with us!

Meet our staff! Larry Jorgenson has retired from being the Executive Director (1999-2019) but continues to hold the vision for our infrastructure projects and sawmill. We could write a book about all the amazing things he’s done for us! Ǧiáxsix̌a Larry! ☀️ #TeamQqs

Meet our staff! Mary Leslie is our finance director — she keeps our finances in shipshape and helps fundraise for our programs and services. We’re grateful for all the ways she keeps us resourced, organized, and dressed in our locally-made staff shirts! ☀️ #TeamQqs

Meet our staff! Vennita Stegman is our Office Manager and in the summer she does double duty overseeing Koeye Camp as well! No one gets things done like Vennita and she has the biggest heart of anyone you’ll ever meet. Ǧiáxsix̌a for being part of our team Vennita! ☀️ #TeamQqs

Meet our staff! Mike Stegman is the point man for Granny’s Kitchen. He helps to keep the food bank and hamper program running smoothly and is always ready to lend a helping hand building garden boxes too! Ǧiáxsix̌a for being part of our team Mike! ☀️ #TeamQqs

Meet our staff! Landon Lawson-Housty is our boat man and site assistant in Koeye. If you need boat transport, firewood stocked, heavy lifting, or other day-to-day help — this strong and respectful young man is your go-to! Ǧiáxsix̌a for being part of our team Landon! ☀️ #TeamQqs

Meet our staff! Aaron Ditchfield takes care of our infrastructure/assets, including support for the sawmill and building crew. We wouldn’t be where we are today without our very own brilliant Mr. Fix-It keeping us running! Ǧiáxsix̌a for being part of our team Aaron! ☀️ #TeamQqs
