2023 will be my 20th year of being on ARVs. This is how a person living with HIV looks like. This is why you should never assume anyone's status! Get tested regularly, use a condom if you are unsure of your persons status. You really can't tell by looking!

For years, prevention advocates have emphasized that people living with HIV who consistently take their medication and follow proper care are not the issue. The greater risk comes from individuals engaging in unprotected sex without regular testing. not knowing their status until symptoms appear, which can take years.
