Absolutely wild that $NVDA is generating ~$445M in profit per day 🤯

Jensen Huang joined his parents for a family meal in a simple local spot. The CEO of the world’s most valuable company still makes time for dinner with the people who made the whole thing possible. Hard not to root for the guy.

@Brownmoose Fair enough. Me too, and probably earlier than you would do 🤣
English

@t0mbfx The key point is to know how much drawdown you can stomach and how much drawdown you can reasonably suffer according to your way of trading.
Being a systematic trader this can be quite well know (with some range of uncertainty for sure)
English

@Brownmoose In case you have bought at that time, would you still keep the position or you would've sold before?
I think it's very difficult not feeling vertigo when a stock rises so much
English

@MoneyQuotesX You are missing eggs
English

@GuyTalksFinance That statement hast 100 % odds to be true.
The point is when. It's there where the money is.

Datadog
Nebius
Crowdstrike

@gurgavin I have the same feeling with some of the AI companies.
At the pace this is evolving who can guarantee that OpenAi or Anthropic will exist in 5 years?
English

DURING THE DOT COM BUBBLE EVERYONE CALLED YAHOO THE SAFE BET
WHAT THEY MISSED YAHOO’S CLIENTS WERE THE DOT COM COMPANIES. THE ONES WITH NO PATH TO PROFITABILITY
THEY COLLAPSED, YAHOO COLLAPSED WITH THEM
SAME THING IS HAPPENING IN AI. EVERYONE RUSHING TO THE ‘SAFE’ INFRASTRUCTURE PLAYS. GPUS, CLOUD, APIS
BUT WHO’S PAYING THOSE BILLS? AI STARTUPS WITH NO REAL REVENUE, NO PROFITABILITY, AND A VC CHECK THAT WON’T LAST FOREVER.
FUNDING DRIES UP. DOMINOES FALL.
SO WHO ALL IS YAHOO THIS TIME? (YOU ALREADY KNOW)

English

@1MINUTETIP for me, beating the market can only be measure in returns adjusted to risk.
It doesn't make sense if you get 1 % more than the market but with significantly more risk and volatility.
English

I shared another trend-following strategy returning more than 10 % annually with a drawdown below 25 %.

@TheH0n3stTrader 200 trades may be sufficient or not depending on the frequency the strategy trades.

@Sholly_Pee1 1M (monthly): the perfect match between time spent and active management of your portfolio
English

Every strategy (systematic or not) has drawdowns.
This is not a bug. It's part of the design.
A drawdown is the peak-to-trough decline of your equity curve.
Start at $10,000, hit $12,000, drop to $9,000 > that's a 25% drawdown.
Some traders panic at this point and abandon the system. But if the strategy was properly backtested, that drawdown was expected.
You saw it coming in the data.
The real skill in systematic trading isn't building the system. It's surviving the drawdown you already knew was coming.
English

Positions close at $ 92.5.
11.3 points obtained.
Not bad.
