Sincere thanks to the Mets for stopping the drooling horde that was once the Philadelphia Phillies before it shambled deeper into postseason. The reanimated corpse of my home team is finally at rest. My nightmare is over. Congrats on your omg hamburgers campaign or whatever.

The Phillies I grew up loving were a losing team. My formative years were spent cheering for losers, and I was a very happy kid. My team was sloppy, slow and broke as fuck and every win was a miracle, the greatest day in history. I still feel that way.
