Since the birth of my son in November last year, I have been waking up at least thrice every night to feed him so that the weight of child care doesnt wear out my wife. We combine both formula and breast milk because the little man eats like the world wants to end. My wife spends the day with him and infants can be something else if you have stayed with them. As a woman, you deserve to marry a man that is concerned about your well-being and support you in all aspects.

You could feel it in every pause and nod. This audience wasn’t here for applause. By the end, the message was clear: transformation isn’t performed on stages. It shows up in decisions, teams, and strategy. Benchmarks were set. Strategies recalibrated #TheEmergence #WomenWhoLead

Some rooms keep conversations safe. Others force a shift. The Emergence was the latter. From ownership to financial positioning to redefining work through tech, the focus stayed on substance. One theme stood out: ideas aren’t the gap. Execution discipline is. #TheEmergence

Most people attend rooms like this, take pictures & leave unchanged. That wasn’t the energy at Tech Unite Africa 5.0. Less small talk. More deal logic. Less pitching. More positioning for capital, partnerships & distribution. Rooms where people come to be tested, not validated.

Rooms like this are engineered. At Tech Unite Africa 5.0, founders defended their models, investors challenged assumptions, and operators broke things down in real time. AI, fintech, funding, cybersecurity. One message stayed consistent: strategy without execution is noise #TUA

A coworker died yesterday morning😭. HR knew by 9 :00 AM, but they kept us working all day. They finally told us around 4 :30 PM, then had the nerve to say, "You can head home early if you need to"—knowing we all finish at 5: 00 PM anyway. This morning, it’s back to "business as usual." Some of my friends are literally sobbing at their desks, but they’re expected to work and be productive. No time to grieve. It’s a cold reality. Within a week, the company will have his job posted online. Within a month, someone else will be sitting in his chair. But his family ,his children will still talk about him every day, they will ask where is daddy , His wife will mourn him for ages ,he was the love of her life . At work, we are just a "resource" that can be replaced in a week. At home, we are the world. Stop giving your best energy to a desk that will forget you, and giving the "leftovers" to the people who never will.

Audience questions were sharp & uncomfortable. Gaps in funding & execution were called out—no polite sugarcoating. If more rooms had this honesty, we’d stop recycling the same conversations & start seeing real progress. #TheDecisionRoom #FemaleTechpreneur

Most “women in tech” spaces talk. Few move money, influence & opportunity. The Decision Room Lagos did. Founders, investors & operators had real conversations: funding, scale, execution. Early wins ≠ repeatable growth. Intentional backing > capability #TheDecisionRoom #IWD2026

The man who scaled M-PESA to 60 million customers now runs Absa's retail banking empire. @Sitoyo takes charge April 1 — the first non-South African to lead Absa Personal and Private Banking. This is the fintech-to-banking crossover the continent has been waiting for. Back in 2005, while at Caltex, he sketched the idea of fuel stations as mobile money agent points. That concept became the agent model now replicated globally. At Safaricom from 2011, he rose from M-PESA Strategy head to Managing Director of M-PESA Africa. Under his watch: the Super App, Fuliza, PayPal integration, AliPay partnership, Ziidi Trader for stock trading. 60 million customers. 8 African markets. 5 million businesses. The 11:FS Hall of Fame inducted him. Now Absa has hired him to bring that playbook to traditional banking. If he succeeds, every bank on the continent will study this move. If they fail to respond, they already know what's coming. The Man Who Scaled M-PESA to 60 Million Customers Now Runs Absa's Retail Empire powerlist.africa/the-man-who-sc…

At its core, DreamVC exists to open up venture capital. Over 400 alumni across 50 countries are moving into VC, PE & investor roles globally. Spaces once hard to access are opening as structured pathways emerge. Access exists. But it requires intention & preparation.

Work has changed. Many women are still optimizing for stability that no longer exists. On March 28, I’ll be speaking at The Emergence by VIVE Africa Network on how tech is reshaping power, income, and access. Register: bit.ly/TheEmergence20… #TheEmergence #ViveAfrica

Most people say they “do sales.” Few can consistently open doors, close deals, and drive revenue in a repeatable way. I’m looking for commercial operators with 5+ years in BD, sales, or partnerships who have owned targets and delivered results. If that’s you, send me a DM.

Different stakeholders. Same question: what does it really take to build & invest in Africa today? At the DreamVC Industry Mixer in Lagos, founders, investors & aspiring VCs gathered for a direct conversation on venture. The market is resetting to fundamentals.
