Granddad (1912 - May 1997), Dad was due to collect him in the morning from Roi Khaled hospital, he suffered a heart attack as a result of Kamenge hutu rebels fighting, he had survived october 1993 Tutsi genocide, hiding in the river, warned by a hutu neighbour, he lost many of his family, his daughter survived at Kibimba school, rescued by a hutu pastor.
Dad collapsed at his father's funeral, got diagnosed with heart disease.
My grandfather ancestor married the daughter of the King of Rwanda Yuhi II Gahima, Princess Nyabunyana, who sheltered Prince Ruganzu II Ndoli, following the assassination of the King of Rwanda Ndahiro I Cyamatare, the Kingdom of Karagwe provided Royal Guards a decade after to the young prince, to reconquer the Kingdom of Rwanda.
History can be both tragic and resilient at the same time.
Never give up to fight for your country, may the sons of Mulenge defeat the enemy, may the God of Bacwezi accompany you.
