@Qegnnny @its_khumo right? like imagine thinking your coochie only exists for men
English

@its_khumo Where did she mention men in this video 😭? I just watched it and this quote doesn't seem to correlate.
English

@its_khumo idk about the onions but yoni steaming is an ancient practice around the world and definitely not for men 😂 it helps balance hormones, manage period pain and supports postpartum healing. tap in!
English

Belle are you not embarrassed? Like genuinely? The guy laughed when he found out you liked him, spat in your mouth, you guys had 2 chats and he deaded it, yet you're moving like you were married to him? Have some shame
Belle Hassan@bellehassan
I don’t see him denying it then…. But now he is loool ok
English

@olandriabase_ the way i thought this was shot on a hot summer day wow
English

@bitchmunk @battinsonhive i get the point she was making, but it doesn’t apply to this girl. i guarantee that it took a LOT of time and effort and TLC to get to this length. the pic with her hair down is completely wet but her coils are very tight. she’s definitely one of the people who can talk about it
English

@battinsonhive That is not what that girl said. She said loosER curls and longer lengths are generally more accepted and it is harder to feel like you will be accepted in short, very tightly coiled 4C hair. The girls with that kind of hair aren’t shown as much love as the ones with longer hair.
English

They are in the quotes and replies calling this loose curls and saying she cant speak on natural hair. This is exactly what I was talking about
princess of saturn@agentpinkk
I’m always going to be an advocate for natural hair like
English

@DiscussingFilm hagrid not sitting right with me. also that last scene of ron lol wth was that
English

Lmao, I went to high school her. Anyone who went to Willard from 2012 to 2015 can tell you how insufferable, homophobic and RACIST she and her boyfriend were.
Megan@LemonadeCarter_
Oh wow Chappell might come from more money than any other pop girl 🤯
English

@xm_muva isn’t zelie the protagonist? amari is extremely privileged and ignorant throughout most of the story. it kind of makes sense that there would be this added layer of her not understanding their society and history bc of her complexion. tomi said she specifically wanted her for it
English

I wonder if this by force erasure of dark skinned protagonists in black films will come to an end once we all refuse to watch this lol Amandla needs to stop taking dark skinned roles.

@theeunholymary @susuajoke who’s arguing? and i did read all three books. i said most of the movie will probably be in english bc of the american actors and i also said it’s fair for you to be upset over it. take a deep breath girl
English

@queeraunty @susuajoke You need to educate yourself then before coming to argue about this. Read the book, there are incantations in the book. Whoever is saying those lines has to be extra fluent, emphasis on EXTRA.
I’ve been speaking Yoruba my entire life and there are chants even I can’t read.
English

I’ve been begging for this book to be filmed but I will not be watching it. One of the biggest strains Amari faces within her family is that she’s the darkest. Her mum actively shames her for it too. Her brother is much lighter. Therefore the casting doesn’t make sense.

English

@zenssdayaa no fr bc why is my whole TL saying they not watching children of blood and bone 😭😭
English

@theeunholymary @susuajoke i read that the author is nigerian and has yoruba heritage. but that’s fair about the actors - they’ll probably do most of it in english for that reason
English

@queeraunty @susuajoke You can’t make a book based on a people’s culture and get mad when the said people say their culture isn’t being properly portrayed.
So many people are gonna watch that movie and genuinely think that’s how Yoruba people speak. Meanwhile the language is being completely butchered
English

@theeunholymary @susuajoke but it’s literally her book.. without her there is no book series at all. studios also need big names when investing millions into production to make sure it makes back money. issa rae said the same when filming one of them days, that’s why they got sza. and issa’s already rich
English

@susuajoke The person I blame the most is the bird thst wrote the damn book itself, she’s an uncultured opportunist who would throw away everything that matters just to work with American big names. Cos tell me why Viola Davis is playing the role of a mamalawo????
English

@susuajoke the author said she specifically wanted her to play Amari and envisioned her when talks about it becoming a film began
English

@Mbakaza4L then they started putting razor blades taped up with the posters…
English

she went to aretha’s house the night before
