One thing women my age always say to me when we discuss the trans bathroom issue is something I rarely see online: Many women, especially young women, use public bathrooms at clubs and restaurants as social spaces. It's not just about the more important issues like safety, privacy, dignity etc. which are, of course, all important. But, unlike men, women talk in there. They bond. They fix each other's hair. They make sure their friends aren't walking out with toilet paper on their shoes. They give each other sanitary products or even just lend each other make-up or some perfume - whatever. My friends talk about it all the time. Men don't do any of that. Men barely look at each other. Head down. Do your business, leave. It's just not the same dynamic in the slightest. Men don't even help their friends if they're throwing up in there. You did it to yourself, good luck pal! 😂 Honestly. The longest conversations I've ever had in a men's bog are things like "Cool jacket man", "Oh cheers, have a good one mate". Done. You ever been on a double date and your mate takes you to the bathroom to let you know that the man you're out with is giving all kinds of red flags and as a friend you need to speak up without causing a scene? No? Yeah, cas you're not a woman. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you actually bothered to listen to women you'd understand that you're taking away from them so much more than you realise. And I'm sure there's a lot more that I don't even know because I'm not a woman nor am I a creep who insists on having to go into spaces that are not for me. So stop lying.
