I have seen false information regarding France following the arrest of Pavel Durov. In a state governed by the rule of law, freedoms are upheld within a legal framework, both on social media and in real life, to protect citizens and respect their fundamental rights. It is up to the judiciary, in full independence, to enforce the law. The arrest of the president of Telegram on French soil took place as part of an ongoing judicial investigation. It is in no way a political decision. It is up to the judges to rule on the matter.

Sotheby’s opening the flood gates for artists to sell NFTs… hyped for all the artists but does this make selling at Sotheby’s less special now? Almost looks like they are trying to suck some more $ out of our market by fulfilling a bunch of artists dreams of selling at Sotheby’s, how and why would we say no? Sotheby’s is cool n all I get it, but the real moves are making your own museum/gallery of some sort (ie. beeple) and bring the community to your world. When artists in web3 overstand that YOU have ALL the power now, places like Sothebys and Christie’s aren’t really needed unless you want that old world notch on your belt. Even then for what? To add that to your bio in hopes that your future collectors will see that you sold at Sothebys and that auto validates high eth sales. BOOST! You’re lying to yourself if you think that an auction house is going to propel the rest of your art career. But that’s just the old world coming thru and it really don’t have to be that way. We should be making our own “auction houses”, who’s going to document our provenance better than us? At this point Sothebys hasn’t found a way to add to the metadata some sort of “Sotheby’s sale stamp of approval”, so that part of the provenance is still web 2/not on the blockchain and you gotta do your own research to know what’s been sold there. I’ve had multiple pieces sold at Sotheby’s and Christie’s. Didn’t really effect much at all, it was something to add to the trophy shelf I guess. I think this is the turn of times so I’m going towards the future and learning from the ancient auction house and doing it my own way… All the power in my hands no auction houses for me 🙅🏾‍♂️🙅🏾‍♂️🙅🏾‍♂️ y’all can have it.
