A rumor is circulating on pro-Hezbollah forums that Israel tracked the IP addresses of Hezbollah officials during a Zoom meeting, geolocated 100 positions simultaneously, and struck all of them in ten minutes. The IDF has not confirmed the method. No mainstream outlet has verified it. The rumor originates from Tier-4 sources with zero corroboration from Israeli, American, or independent intelligence reporting. But the rumor is less important than what it reveals about the strike itself. One hundred command targets across three geographic zones, Beirut’s southern suburbs, the Beqaa Valley, and southern Lebanon, struck simultaneously in a ten-minute window. Intelligence headquarters. Missile infrastructure. Radwan Force assets. The Aerial Unit that operates Hezbollah’s drone fleet. The IDF confirmed every detail. What the IDF did not confirm is how it knew where every target was at the exact same moment. That simultaneity is the signature. Hitting 100 targets in sequence is air superiority. Hitting 100 targets in ten minutes is intelligence supremacy. It means real-time location data on the entire senior and mid-tier command structure, updated continuously, cross-referenced with physical infrastructure, and fed into a strike package that executes before anyone can move. Whether the method was Zoom IP tracking, cellular metadata, SIGINT intercepts, human intelligence, or some combination of all four, the capability demonstrated is the same: Israel has penetrated Hezbollah’s operational architecture to a depth that allows simultaneous decapitation across an entire theatre of war. The pager operation in September 2024 demonstrated that Israel could compromise Hezbollah’s supply chain to deliver explosive devices into the pockets of hundreds of operatives. If the Zoom rumor contains any truth, it represents the evolution from hardware compromise to software compromise, from physical infiltration of devices to digital infiltration of communications. The pagers required months of supply-chain engineering. An IP geolocation exploit requires only that the target connects to a network. Hezbollah’s response will be predictable: abandon all digital communications. Go dark. Return to couriers and face-to-face meetings. But that response creates its own vulnerability. Couriers can be followed. Face-to-face meetings require physical movement that satellites and drones track. The more Hezbollah retreats from digital infrastructure, the slower its command cycle becomes, and the slower the command cycle, the less capable the organisation is of coordinating the kind of distributed response that Mosaic Defence requires. This is the intelligence trap that decapitation campaigns create. Every adaptation the target makes to survive reduces its operational effectiveness. Go digital and risk geolocation. Go analogue and risk paralysis. The IDF does not need to confirm the Zoom rumor for it to achieve its strategic purpose. The rumor alone forces Hezbollah to assume its communications are compromised, which degrades command and control whether or not the compromise actually exists. The pagers changed the supply chain. If the IP tracking is real, it changes the meeting. If neither method was used and Israel has something else entirely, it changes the assumption that any form of communication is secure. In all three cases, the effect is identical: Hezbollah’s command structure operates under the permanent assumption of penetration. Le génocide imaginaire Le Hamas vient de publier les données les plus récentes concernant les morts de la guerre à Gaza dont l’identité a été établie, et ces données ont été mises en forme par un journaliste du quotidien de gauche israélien "Haaretz". Ces chiffres représentent l’écrasante majorité des décès enregistrés depuis le début de ce conflit. Les enseignements qui en ressortent sont éclairants. L'objet de ce post n'est pas de justifier ou de critiquer la guerre menée par Israël à Gaza, mais de remettre en cause le "narratif" en vogue à gauche et dans le milieux islamistes d'un prétendu "génocide" à Gaza. 1. Un déséquilibre massif entre hommes et femmes On constate qu’il y a beaucoup plus d’hommes morts que de femmes, notamment dans la tranche d’âge des 18–59 ans : plus de 3 fois plus. Ce déséquilibre se retrouve également aux extrêmes : – 1,45 fois plus chez les mineurs (0 à 18 ans) ; – 1,68 fois plus chez les plus de 60 ans. Un tel écart n’est pas le fruit d'une bizarrerie statistique. 2. L’écart hommes/femmes et la question des combattants On ne peut affirmer que cet écart correspond très exactement à la différence entre morts combattants et morts civils. Néanmoins, le différentiel est trop important pour ne pas être signifiant : 47 957 Gazaouis de sexe masculin ont été tués contre 20 863 femmes. L’écart avoisine 27 000 personnes. Il est probable qu’il corresponde en grande partie à des hommes engagés dans les groupes armés, y compris de jeunes hommes de 16 à 18 ans recrutés par les organisations islamistes, ainsi que des hommes plus âgés. Ce chiffre de 27 000 n’est pas très éloigné des estimations de l’armée israélienne, qui situe autour de 25 000 le nombre de combattants tués. 3. L’ampleur des pertes civiles Cela signifie également que plus de 40 000 civils ont trouvé la mort à Gaza, principalement dans des bombardements. Sur le plan humain, un tel chiffre est tragique et doit être interrogé. Il représente environ 2 % de la population civile de Gaza. C'est énorme, mais ce n'est pas fondamentalement différent d'autres conflits de forte intensité. 4. Le ratio combattants / civils dans le contexte d’une guerre urbaine Si l’on retient l’hypothèse d’environ 25 000 combattants tués, le rapport serait de l’ordre d’un combattant pour environ 1,5 civil. Dans les guerres urbaines impliquant un usage massif d’armes explosives, les études montrent des ratios très différents. L’International Network on Explosive Weapons (INEW) indique que lorsque des armes explosives sont utilisées dans des zones densément peuplées, ce sont plutôt 9 civils tués pour 1 combattant (inew.org/media-release-…). Même en tenant compte du fait que ces études incluent les blessés et non les seuls morts, la comparaison suggère que le ratio observé à Gaza serait inférieur à celui habituellement constaté dans des conflits urbains similaires. 5. Une situation militaire particulièrement complexe Le cas de Gaza présente une complexité spécifique : les combattants islamistes se dissimulent dans un vaste réseau de tunnels interdits aux civils et ne portent pas d’uniformes distinctifs, leur stratégie étant de se fondre dans la population. Cette configuration rend extrêmement difficile la distinction opérationnelle entre combattants et civils et complique la conduite d’opérations ciblées. Dans ce contexte, tous ceux qui parlent de "génocide" à Gaza sont soit des ignorants, soit des salauds. Les jeunes mal informés, sans culture historique ou excités par la propagande sont des ignorants, les politiciens et les "influenceurs" qui emploient ce vocabulaire sont des salauds. Il n'y a eu aucun génocide à Gaza : il a suffit que le Hamas rende les otages israéliens pour que l'intensité de cette guerre s'effondre, se limitant à des escarmouches. Ces données suggèrent, au contraire, que l’armée israélienne a mis en œuvre des mesures de précaution visant à limiter les pertes civiles, notamment si l’on compare ces chiffres à ceux observés dans d’autres conflits urbains impliquant les forces russes en Tchétchénie ou les forces américaines, britanniques et françaises à Raqqa ou à Mossoul. Y a-t-il eu des crimes de guerre ? Des dérapages de certains soldats ou officiers ? C'est très possible et même probable, je ne connais pas de guerre dans laquelle ce genre de comportement n'existe pas. Le mythe d'une guerre "propre" reste un mythe. Il faut alors que les coupables soient identifiés et traduits en justice. Je ne sais pas si israël le fera, mais ce pays le devrait. Cette insistance à parler de génocide lorsque Israël est impliqué n'a qu'une vocation : le rendre coupable du crime suprême dont son peuple a été une victime majeure dans l'Histoire récente, et ainsi positionner le discours ambiant pour justifier une nouvelle annihilation des Juifs.
