this got me so good because langdon has been craving to work on real cases since he arrived but robby wouldn't let him. when al-hashimi allowed him to stay, he was so happy even though he tried to downplay it & yet he noticed mel being hurt & nothing mattered. THAT'S MEL'S PERSON

have been noticing this change that langdon finds comfort in mel when he doesn't know how to respond! this was also true during the hemocue moment when robby was intimidating langdon! mel is the white knight! i love that she gets to be that for him just like he gets to do it too!

i love how langdon asks a bunch of questions to mel to understand where she's coming from while making her slowly process what she is feeling instead of forcing an emotion or feeling onto her. he doesn't tell her to get over it or to check herself.
